Buckadilla to get gems you must be playing actively, you don't mine gems while the game is closed. Try leaving it opened in a window (not a tab, it wouldn't work) by itself and see what happens.
@jandg4206 it is because when you minimize it the game goes on "idle mode", whilist it keeps mining on "active mode" if the window is maximized/left opened anywhere on the screen.
Also, the chance of getting a better pick is given by both the average quality and the base power your picks have: let's say you got 1000 as base power and 100% as average quality, if your current pick has 10000 power you will get duds forever unless you're REALLY lucky and you will get build a pick which has more power than your current one. That because you only have 1000 base power and just 100% average quality, meaning you can basically reach picks with around 4000 power with a quality of around 300%.
+ bonuses also help getting better picks, but really: don't get mad if you craft dudes only without upgrading the blacksmith first. It's a math matter, you won't get any better picks randomly.
The game itself is cool, we all know it, but it has also been out for a good while now and it still has problems with achievements: they do count while you're racing, but they do not give you the reward afterwards. Please fix this, it's really frustrating and makes me want to quit, as trying to scare 45 birds over and over isn't funny at all.
Don't ask me how but this game made me smile. Few few few games gave me this reaction input so congratulations, you stimulated my brain! :D (If you don't understand my shitty talking all of this talking equals to: this game is simple and that makes it so much more fun to play than ultra-quality money-based crappy games like mmos and such, keep up the good work!)
Imo: 1. Fix the height bug. 2. Put some score targets. 3. Upgrades shall be something like: movement speed, life bar (put a life bar that people can upgrade so the game does not end after 2 secs), level (based on the score you do, it shall change the speed you travel at n/or the speed enemies go)
I don't know if this is a bug but I got to 30k just by standing on the higher spot, I'm giving this a 2 stars because of this. It is a nice, difficult game though, it just needs upgrades and a point, cause it has none for now.
