Stats stop increasing cost at 9999, but still increase in skill/power. Speed past 30 can be dangerous at higher levels, you can kill yourself before you can react in time. Defense is primary stat to raise to continue levelling. Wish the levels were longer so you didn't have to worry about hitting the boss in 3 seconds =P
