There's also a weird, but helpful, bug where clicking any type of reward (whether from prestiging or the bonuses from finishing a run) can be applied multiple times if you click the button quickly enough before it disappears. The frame window is really short, and I could only get 2 presses out of it. Still, double the bonuses means less time spent on this less-than-mediocre game.
My strategy for the mid-game was grinding runs 1 and 2 until I could comfortably do run 3, and then grinding run 3 over and over. Eventually, run 3 took about 15 minutes to complete. I did run 4 occasionally, but the actual ROI compared to grinding run 3 was NOT worth it. When I was ready to tackle the hard badge requirement, I did run 4, and then I got a lucky roll into run 7. I never did any nature rune runs, but that might have been a mistake, idk. 200-300 rune goal runs are eventually quick (15 minutes), 400 rune goal runs are long (1+ hour), and 500 rune goal runs are extremely long (1 week+).
I finally got the hard badge. This should have been an impossible badge, or the requirement should have been far lower. That took way too long. Over a month, easily, with some dedicated grinding sessions. As other people have said, this game has scaling issues. The first runs take a long, long time, and then they start getting faster. Focus on "gain X% more mana from Y runes" and then cost/income prestige. I finished the hard badge on the 500 Deep Runes run, and my end bonuses were about 2k% in both income/cost prestige, and about 3500% in all rune income for the first 4 runes. Never playing this game again.
I hate how the developer artificially raised the cap on the AI's speed and acceleration. It's making very difficult levels like Craggy Peaks incredibly frustrating and anti-fun.
I really like the game a lot. Great work on it. I would also appreciate a counter that states the max amount of squigglies that you can get in one playthrough, though.
@coolmike13: Clearly you don't understand the definition of "free." According to Dictionary.com, "free" means "provided without, or not subject to, a charge or payment." See the "not subject to" part? You don't HAVE to pay. It's not a scam. inb4downvotes
@numberone111 I'd vote + usually, but claiming that bontegames is discriminating against colorblind people is a pretty stupid statement.
Anyway, this game looks cool. Hopefully it will stand up to its reputation.
For the hard badge, boost gates are more of a hindrance than a benefit. That's not cool. :( Actually, throughout the entire game, the only use they have is propelling you into other aircraft.. who'd have thought?
I had no problem with my agile stark build until the last fight. Oh wait, half the time I hit for absolutely nothing, while he hits upwards of 130 WITH a stun included. If I do hit, cool, 1 damage. Maybe I can wittle him down slowly..? Oh, right, 5 hp regen per turn with high armor. How frustrating and anti fun.
