Normally I find games that try to be "artistic" are usually implying very basic, low level philosophy to the player. I think this one is taking a step upwards to being poignant, although its not groundbreaking. Although I think it still suffers the weakness of other games like this, it's intentional ambiguity lends it self to people who don't really have any idea what to think of it giving positive reviews because they feel it "looks" smart, so it must be. It's very easy to make people think something is artistic, add heart pulling music and a tragic/ironic ending, and very little narration and voila, you're philosopher. Don't fall into that trap.
That being said, I expected this to be little more than a "you are controlled by society," but the part where the path (transitioning into moral ambiguity maybe?) becomes hazier the more you don't do as instructed caught me off guard, I thought it was a good addition.
I know the catastrophe of random noise and explosions will be pleasing to the easily excitable masses, but...
christ, I don't even care whats going on at a certain point, I'm just spacing out and mashing A.
The hivemind in these comments is pretty hilarious.
It's an o.k game, it's not the first less-then-fantastic game to get badges. I think we all know why this one is getting so much angst.
Three gooples formed into a gray and two biters became a horror immediately after wards, this was 20 seconds into a small nest.
I hate my luck D:<
I enjoyed this game though. I really like games with bestiaries (idk why) and the awards are funny.
At the very least you should have been able to sell resistances and transmissions as well, and doing so would have calmed down any panic over a disease.
There's only one strategy I can see, and all the different symptoms are mostly pointless.
