I'm so glad I started my attempt of completing the "best of 2007" quest with this game. Wow. That medium badge should be at least a 60 point impossible. I´ve figured that dark ones get hurt from upgraded towers, I know it seems to pay off to upgrade a few tactical U shaped spots (instead of upgrading everything a little) or put the bash towers there, obviously one needs to create a maze, obviously it needs to have something in the middle as well pretty early on because of the flyers... after trying everything and seven consultations to seven different (totaling 49) psychiatrists due to massive rage problems *solely because of this game*.... calming down, trying again, and again.... then the psychiatrists again... repeat the pattern four times.... 2200 and something points. Seriously. F**k. This. Game. The quest is impossible.
Brutally impossible. Can´t get past the fifth level and lost interest. Not my kind of game and the controls seem *really* off with no ability for any kind of presicion. Doesn´t mean it´s a bad game if it´s not my idea for fun, maybe someone else will love this and good for them.
The achievement of "beating a level only with shoulder weapons doesn´t work. I´ve been through the first level only with "Hellfire" three times now. And what does the "kill 25 enemies on rails" even mean? I assumed it meant squashing enemies with a miniboss but nope.
A pretty good game. I liked it. The boss battles especially were mostly pretty original. There are a few things though that bugged me : First of all the challenge seemed to rely heavily upon the ineffectiveness of your weapons. Even at the highest upgrade levels no weapon really felt like I was ripping through my enemies in the end. That was a little disappointing. Seconldy, there most definetly are moments in the game where you simply *will get hit*, Because you either had the bad luck of being at the wrong starting point when the shots were fired at you or simply because there is nowhere to dodge. Finally, as much as i liked the challenge the final boss offered, it seems like the hit detection of the bosses lasers are way off. They hit me something like a full sentimeter before they actually reached my ship.
This was still a good game and I enjoyed it.
There´s ridiculously idiotic challenges and then there´s this. I got into the *moon* in 10 days. Insanely hard card challenges based only on blind luck are stupid. Oh well, maybe I´ll just go outside instead of playing this. Game´s not too good either. Too heavy when going through the earth and an individual shot lasts too long and it drags for basically nothing.
