I am not completely sure, but it seems like the combo meter depletes at the same speed even when in slow motion mode. I don't know if it is intentional, but maybe that should also be slowed.
I revisted this game after a while to try and understand what made it seem so fun. Unfortunately, it lagged very much, which may be due to it being made for an older version of Java, this made it nearly unplayable. Also, the game doesn't save. I saw someone else saying it didn't, so I didn't just close the game. I paused during a night and pressed on Main Menu, then I tried starting the game again, but it reset it and was back to Day 1. Usually, games have a message saying "Unsaved Progress Will Be Lost" or something like that, this game would probably say all progress will be lost, but this didn't. Saving would have been nice, but I think the people/person behind Con Artists said this was there first Flash game. However, judging by the quality, I doubt this was there first game of any type though. Maybe I'll rate it a 5/5 stars for being a very fun, classic game. Not reflective of its (possible) current state with the lag (though this may be a result of a poor connection).
I sort of spoiled it for myself by reading the first comment and your reply. It is an interesting game, nice visual effects and audio. The last puzzle, I think, I was unsure of how to do, I solved it many times in the same direction, and a couple times in other directions (both being diagonals). Then I tried solving it every way possible, but it finished when I managed to solve the vertical middle way. I rated it 4/5 stars only because it is a smaller game, and maybe because I was not surprised as I read your response. When I saw the title, I suspected a twist, like games such as This is Not a Game. I saw the description, which was a bit cutoff, so when I saw "it is recommended you...", I thought the rest of it would be play with a friend to act as the second play, which led me in the other direction. My rating may not be fair, but at the same time, I do not think I "love" the game due to its length. Nice game, and good luck.
"I tried out Song Builder and it seems like a cool game/tool, especially with the sharing feature. I am not very good at making music, so I don't have any issues an adept song builder may run into. A small thing I noticed, which likely may not affect anything, is that in the tutorial, the user is told to make a custom clip. Once they make the custom clip, the tutorial ends and their work is gone. Maybe someone spent a long time working on just that one clip, then it got deleted when the tutorial ended, so they were not happy with the game. Perhaps you could just add to the text and tell them "This will be deleted upon completion for the tutorial." or something. Thanks for your games." Not sure if you saw this on your forum post.
Perhaps 'split' the game into three stages, in the first stage 3 contacts is an out, the second stage would be two contacts and so on. The scenery could perhaps slightly vary from stage to stage, or perhaps some screen text would notify the player about their current stage or which stage they just flew in to. Also, I believe there is a bug where nothing happens upon getting the snitches, there is no monetary increase or anything else I could notice. As a future suggestion if the positions are added, perhaps add hoops which randomly occur on in between some obstacles which give more than the $1 per coin.
A game which is a mix with the classic Helicopter controls with Flappy Bird obstacles. Also, not sure if it was intentional or not, but the player can touch the ground and just continue sliding along as well as with the top of the sky; the player can't bypass these boundaries but will not have to restart upon contact.
My goal (as you stated) was to mix Flappy Bird with the classic Heli controls, and I wanted to throw in little jetpack Joyride. I cannot decide if I want to have it end the game when he touches the ground or the top of the game yet. So thoughts: Do you think I need to make it end the game do a system to where if you touch the sky or the floor three times, it kills you?
