He is making a part 2! Click the Facebook link and you can see. A few quotes from him: "I'm not dead, Dragon Quest Part 2 is still coming!" "I'm going to get this thing finished within the next 2 months, likely closer to 1 month." He also mentioned he got a job, which may delay progress, and he's also in school, which is a higher priority than the game. If you can't respect that he prioritizes his job and schooling (AKA his life) then you don't deserver DQ2.
Completely pointless to release this on a flash gaming website. It has like 4 sentences. If someone actually needed to know this, they would google it and find it instant, and not from this flash. The only positive comments you've gotten is the fact that a few people like the music.
Failbird.org isn't real. =( On topic: I click on the cut scene by mistake which skipped it, but no worries, I refreshed cause it had a FLIPPIN PENGUIN. Great game, you're a boss.
Dealing with this game while using a 4000DPI mouse is a pain... But I managed. Hated having my mouse all the way on my other monitor while playing. Also, the last level was kind of lame, although I assume it was a trick, you make you think really hard and then go, "Oh, there's the answer, just like level 1 and 2."
I suggest starting with the turtle, it gives you a large amount of stamina, which is difficult to obtain. Also getting lots of agility keeps you from falling, so you keep more of your health, you should ALWAYS have your health about 80%, it'll keep you winning every race. Don't buy any speed items, you'll pay more than 300 gold for about 20 speed and you could spend 100 for 20-30, easily, and it will be permanent.
@One2One, all programs accept commands as if it was in a line, so if you hit Up Down Up with a millisecond in between it will know which came first, which it why you can hit two keys at once and the computer will still know what came first. dserrano, ignore that comment, it doesn't make any sense.
@Arrows It's alright if this was just a game you did for learning Action Script, but there is no reason to play this over any other game similar. Although it did move fairly smoothly, fairly well done, the concept is just to plain.
Spelling errors. One of the worst mistakes you can make on a game. I get bugs where it's a flawed code, code is harder than English. If you can spot more than 2 spelling mistakes in less than 2 minutes... Not good.
Fail. If you right click and select rewind you see the start page saying hit space to start but you don't actually see that if you don't hit rewind. XD
