when the kitty is stuck with hte red blocks you have to get the down X rocket launcher that blows them up in the beginning of the game so rocketback there guys. good game, soundtrack reminded me of pokemon yellow.

if you get 100 gold before tyour first save it usually works like that i tried it on another computer and it worked for me

i play on 331 with a Barbairan, Cleric, Warrior and mage, with my mages ring of boundless energy which replenishes 100% hp and mana at the end of every round i just made him pure int. and gave him the highest speed and lightning bolt once
