Your boots go away after you close the game? Damn, I bought the most expensive pair for a 40 day length, and I only got to use it three times. I don't think it'd be hard to fix this programming-wise, it's just 2 variables in the save file, shoe and durability, please add it into the next patch!
Raising Technique just seems to ruin my aim when the ball is moving, the ball goes too far left or right, technique should slow down the speed of moving balls also.
The story is REALLY REALLY nice, it drives the game, however the gameplay is tedious, although. I'm not disappointed, the ending was nice, even though nothing happens after the timer hits zero, or if you don't destroy the core, (Seriously, huge gameplay flaws right there) Of course I made it easily, it wasn't hard to make it there before the zero, (Another disappointment). But I digress, the music was fantastic and the story kept me interested throughout the game, the music was especially good at the end, my heart was pounding just from how intense it was. Still 5/5, (Definitely better than most Kongregate games, I'm tired of upgrade games!) although the game could have been EPIC, if the gameplay and artwork were just as good as the music and story.
Platforming was at times awkward and boring, you didn't really utilize secret areas, chests seemed to be all over the place and easy to get, none of that "wow that's exactly where I thought he'd put that secret" sort of implementations. In game achievements were often unnecessary, ("Mushrooms are bouncy" [Insert "you don't say" meme]). The casting mechanism was awkward, the shop was very limited; No emotion in art (You even made cats look boring and emotionless somehow), no story, the music sometimes didn't fit well at times (But it was catchy sometimes anyway), the BGs were generic, but I don't suppose the story allowed you to be outlandish with the backgrounds. I suppose you rushed it or just didn't care much, but that didn't matter, this is an upgrade game, so people will like it anyways, and no doubt they will " - " this comment, but I don't want to use this as some sort of cheap mechanism (Much like upgrading) to make you not hate this comment.
A recent pattern in indie games is an increase of use of upgrades, I think people would respond ever more positively to a rebuild three that let's say... Lets you upgrade buildings, efficiency, defense, housing, etc. (schools that train faster, malls with more defense, buildings with more housing, more efficient laboratories or farms), lets you level survivors further, (And also lets equipment be useful past the skill cap), rare and upgradable weapons/items, difficult challenges after game completion, quests even, unlockables and secrets possibly. Giving rebuild more gameplay beyond its current status.
Good game, really difficult new concept that makes me think, but people in the comments section are pissing me off, the game isn't meaningful nor sad, it just has a looped sad song and generic statements to go with the game's theme, there isn't anything subtle, there is no hidden meaning, nothing against the creator(s) of the game, it's just a misconception, it doesn't mean anything, it's just a theme.
Recruitment failed: Somebody fired a warning shot from a window and I had to book it out of there. I guess they didn't trust but I'd like to try again later. B**ch! You are surrounded by my city's barriers!
Horse Doctor How's that leg Argo? Horse: ... Sorry Argo, looks like I'm gonna have to put you down. Horse: No really, my hoof is fine, see I can walk, see? Ow... Horse Doctor: *Click Click, BOOM!*
