When zooming in or out on the browser, I use Firefox, it also zooms the game, meaning it stays the same size, not helpful if you use a screen that is too narrow/tall to use the game in its original size. If I zoom to see the entire browser, which is necessary in quite a few games here, nothing can be gained on this game, the window it plays in clips the zoom, or adds black space.
The squares do not line up well with the gun ranges and attacking aliens. Place a long range unit near the back and align its field of fire along the row it is on, it does not provide even coverage along either side of the row it is on. I always have to have extra support on the uppermost side, it has the shortest visible range, and seemingly the most attacks.
