Where to start… with the most important thing: my Number One dream in life is to somehow change the world for the better. So pretty much all my existence right now is shaped around that. I work a lot, I learn, I evolve. I create free software, write, donate, help people when I can. I try to bring happiness into the lives of the people with whom I come in contact. The gift of somebody’s smile because of something I did is the most wonderful present I get out of a few hours of time. I respect life and the Universe, and I try to make the most of every moment I am given on this Earth.
I have already taken the first few little but important steps in accomplishing my dream. CouchSurfing, for example, is a way I give something back to the world. Then again, there are other ways to give: I donated some hardware to a charity organization which also helped me when I was younger and I’m sure it won’t be the last time I give something back to them. I wrote a few important analysis articles on The Inquirer (a large IT website) for no charge at all, just to try and help people in understanding some things. These are all small feats, but the Butterfly Effect helps me dream that I did change the world, even if in an insignificant way, and, hopefully, for the better in the long run.
But my most important step in achieving this dream of mine is my Software Organization: Axonn Software Development. This is mostly about free and Open Source Software (such as my ASD Clock. When I find a few hours of spare time, in invest into ASD and I hope that I will bring a lot of good in the world through what I know to do best.
As a profession, I’m a Computer Programmer, but I also love to write articles & novels. Sometimes I’m tempted to write a book. My imagination is perhaps my biggest asset and if the day lasted a year, I could write 1 different book every day. Between 2003 and end of 2008 I have been working with all sorts of dual-nationality companies here in Brasov where I live. USA-Romanian, German-Romanian, Netherlands-Romanian, French-Romanian ::- D. Right now, I moved to Sweden (at least temporary) on a C# contract. I’m trying to gather the money and contacts to help me in building the great things I have in mind.
I’m a very, very impassionate person, I put a lot of effort and heart in all that I do. I am also a perfectionist and I don’t mind sacrificing myself for various causes which I feel that are worth it.
Another part of me is that I’m a game addict. I love playing games, thinking about games and most of all, creating and designing games. As I said, I got an over-active imagination which is constantly working, spitting 10 game ideas per day. Unfortunately, I also have other less funny business and day-job projects which, for now, keep me from focusing more on doing what I love so much to do: design games. However, I am currently working at my first game and will soon release it (it’s a Flash game).
I know this isn’t a CV, but hey, the name of the textbox into which I am writing all this is called “All about you”. Might as well continue with my “technical specifications”, haha. Really, I’m extremel passional about creating stuff, whatever it is (programming, writing, I’m even tempted by music, drawing, 3d art). So that’s why I spend almost all my time creating. For the time being, most of it is computer programming. I’m best in C# and Flash Action Script 3, having tons of experience with those. I know my way pretty well in PHP and C++ too. I did a lot of Visual Basic 6 in the past but I really dislike it now. I know pretty much all flavors of SQL and I’m good in JavaScript and HTML. I also got some skills in 3D Studio Max and other design programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Corel and Premiere. I work mainly in Windows but I also can also manage in Linux (actually, I’m a Linux fan, even though I spend 99% of the time in Windows, at least for now). All this plethora of skills comes from the fact that I’m a geeky nerd ::- D. In the past 16 years I’ve been working with computers more than 12 hours per day on average. So naturally I know quite a lot about them. I’m also fond of assembling my computers with my own hands, using the best components I can find (also having in mind their price, of course, since I’m not a money factory). That’s why I got a lot of hardware knowledge too.
