This game kind of needs an "Attack Closest" option. Kind of annoying to watch all my towers stop shooting at the Valkyrie that's got a clear path to my gems to shoot down some other guy that still has to get past 5 or 6 other towers.
Level 18: This game's pretty good, but I wonder how they plan to make it worth 60 levels...
Level 22: Huh, that'll work.
Level 26: Well now I have to keep going just to see what changes at level 41.
Level 41: ...Crap
Level 55: Almost done, not much longer...
Level 56: O.O
Level 57: FFFFFFFFF-
Here's a thought: Make it so hits blocked by the shield don't reduce the timer. Alternatively, make it so on the higher difficulties you just take more damage and do away with the timer completely. If you get hit once the Insane difficulty is lost anyway.
Fun fact: Adding an extremely short timer to levels that require the player to wait is not the correct way to make a game more difficult. Nor is having a massive chunk of the timer vanish when the player collides with an enemy in levels where the enemy can spawn right on top of the player.
This game is so close to being a great game except you've made so many bad decisions. The constant timers and demands for actual cash are bad enough, but combine those with the fact that the game takes forever to load and is laggy as hell and you've got some real issues. Would it have killed you to at least put in a quality button?
There really needs to be something done about the AI's ability to take turns. It's actually gotten to the point where I know at every sharp turn I'm going to drop 2 positions from having to slow down. I've tried maxing out handling, I've tried maxing out speed, I've tried maxing out boosts, and I've tried combinations of all three. I still end up losing 2 positions at every single sharp turn because I have to slow down and nobody else does.
It would be better if the gates were more predictable. Gets annoying to get down to the last ball only to find out the one you just dropped blocked the hole.
This game needs something to detect when enemies are stuck. Nothing sucks more than getting to the final wave, only to have a lone enemy standing in the middle of nowhere doing nothing and having to restart.
3/5 Game's pretty good, but some of the jumps are horrendous. The flying ability gets somewhat annoying too, it shouldn't force you to start flying every time you jump, or at least you should be able to stop flying and drop when needed.
