love this. great graphics. its nice to play a really weird game every now and then. only down side for me is sometimes the thing to click is really small and hard to find (like the hinge). i wish more games would have this sort of look and feel to them.
tedious level design, more an application of skill than of thought. Sometime movements would overshoot when tapping keys. All-in-all, decent game, I would have preferred more difficult levels utilizing the interesting button mechanic (with more than two colors of button).
upgrade mechanics somewhat broken, upgrading basic tank and speed and money beats all. Higher tier tanks are useless. While they are more powerful, they 1)still only deal 1 damage to bases 2)W selects ALL tanks so if you want to swarm a base but dont want to waste expensive tanks you're out of luck 3)while range and damage are better the basic tanks can still rush a base while its defended by a number of better tanks. Also the game started to lag with large number of tanks on the screen (all later maps).I beat the game, so its playable, but its not interesting as a strategy game.
Suggestions to improve: optimize game to lag less. Allow selecting types of tanks (perhaps number keys 1,2,3..). Allow moving to arbitrary point on map (whats with the fact that tanks head back to their base once they capture an enemy base but just sit there once they take out an enemy unit?).
...and then there were achievements. Oooh, I got ten birds on the screen, gimme a badge. And just as I though I was playing to enjoy the experience. The achievements only detract from the game. Same goes for a score: yes, why not make the game rate how well I enjoyed it? (and yes, I looked through the specials menu too after the game, still feel disappointed) So still, while I enjoyed the main segment of the game, short and sweet, I feel the rest of the stuff isn't needed.

"Bubblebox is awesome" -Santa. No, Bubblebox is trying to hard. A mandatory achievement to click the sponsor link, giftboxes in the loading screen, pop up ads, yes/no dialog prompting to get more cash... C'mon now, guys. Plus the game gets repetitive, no change in gameplay as the game progresses, Santa quips the same dozen catchphrases to death.. and I'm still playing this - god I'm bored.
There is a bug with the items. Perhaps the arrangement? but i now have 10 maps. It appears to make the item below the map, which is stored in the top-right corner turn into a map when talking to shopkeepers. Lost the robe this way :(
ah yeeess, lag. then again, i've got a thousand guys running around, complaining and using the numerous spas, restaurants and bathrooms. Great game, quite feasible to complete in 10 in-game days.
