There must be something really wrong with me because I actually love these stupid freakin games. The plot is pretty dark though - I'm an indentured servant in a cupcake sweatshop? Coming soon: get trafficked from a third-world country into Papa's Stripperia! Dance for those tips or face the back of Papa's hand!
This is without exception the easiest Hard badge I've ever obtained. I'm no master of hand-eye coordination but seriously, unless you have flippers for hands this should take about 30 minutes. Still, "pretty easy" does NOT mean "no fun", and I think the Impossible badge will be a much more serious challenge. Great game!
Since you do seem to read all your comments I'd just like to let you know that I'm enjoying this immensely. It's got lots of little "rough corners" and awkward bits which I'm sure other people will tell you all about, but that doesn't change the fact that it's altogether my cup of tea - and "Mr Business" gave me a good laugh. It made my day better. I hope this project has been rewarding for you because I look forward to seeing more from you guys.
Thanks! It has been a rewarding experience. To be honest, it hasn't been a commercial success (we are far from living off it), but we have enjoyed the process. Making games is super hard work and extremely testing. If you ever want to tell us about the rough corners directly you can email me at: support@super2games.com Thanks for playing!
I adored the first two games and I was so excited to see a new one, but I'm super disappointed with this. Maybe I could put up with the aggressive advertising and the grind, but missions running out after four or five until you break the next wall? Excuse me while I nope the heck out here. Was there a change of management at JuicyBeast or something?
I like the grind. I can just space out and watch the moving things. For a fairly quick-moving game graphically, there's surprisingly little sense of panic or adrenaline. It's almost meditative.
After days of frustration, losing over and over, I took the easy way out and won the hard badge by refreshing the page when something went wrong for me. At first I felt relieved, but then it just seemed empty. I've never gained a badge dishonestly before. So I came back, resolved to play and win fair and square no matter how long it took. FIRST TRY, powered through everything like I had a golden touch. Missions went right, hordes fell apart, cured the disease by day 100. Feels good man. Feels good.
Love it. None of that artificial challenge so many puzzle games introduce with things like move limits or limited undo clicks. Anyone can solve these puzzles eventually by noodling around long enough, but the satisfaction comes from finding a neat and elegant solution. This game remembers that puzzle games are supposed to be enjoyable, not miserably frustrating! It was also a sensible length, but I still wish it was longer because I enjoyed it so much. For anyone who's having trouble with the puzzles, just focus on sorting out the bigger numbers first. Once they're settled the little ones can be matched up pretty much any way you like.
I like that the way to achieve the hard badge is so in keeping with the mood of the game - all you have to do is move calmly, slowly and carefully, avoiding the reds and picking up the yellows. If you get through the whole song without hitting any reds you'll have well over 2 million points without having to dash around the screen picking up shapes at all.
Crossbow fatality not at all impossible. Load the walls and ceiling with crossbows and throw a few absorbs in the middle of the screen and a few mines on the floor to keep the poor guy moving. Easy.
I have a tip for level 57 if anyone' interested - to get past the really awkward bit with the revolving squares, don't bother trying to judge when is the right time to go; you'll only end up dying while you dither. Just do three steady clicks, one after the other, boom boom boom, and you'll get through. Once you pick up the rhythm that part is easy.
Great game, wonderful design, original, challenging, absolutely brilliant. The only thing that lets it down us the way little dude handles when you're platforming. He slides, his jumps are jerky and he's generally difficult to control. This doesn't add anything to the game and is frustrating when you've solved the puzzle but have to try the same section fifteen times. Other than that, awesome, please make another!
