Really great game. Has me quite addicted. Two qualms so far:
1. when the hiker decides to climb right under the queen, she starts biting him before he is even there, losing a life even if i blow him up before he lands. Could you make it so she doesn't start biting until the hiker is on the ground?
2. A speed up button would be amazing, especially since a good strategy is to place your monsters closest to the queen first, to give them a chance to level. This means waiting a long time at the start before they get to me.
I pretty much love everything else about this game, so dont think this is a negative comment.
good job. Other than the attack spells issue (i'd make them castable out of combat but a little weaker maybe) and the fact that the only elements worth thinking about are earth and fire. I'm curiou what inspired you to make this game. It seems like a cross betwwen the dungeon in Lufia for SNES and Desktop Dungeon or DROD rpg.
elxhocolato: I agree with you about everything up to "not to mention". Its not magically immune to criticism, but I think it had reasonable depth for 5 minutes of my time. It didn't change my life or anything, but there is a lot of art out there in other mediums that gets tons of praise and teaches me nothing and doesn't make me think. One criticism I have of this game is that it is too black and white (heh). I personally think that disobeying "the man" just because you can or you're a rebel is just as bad as obeying without critical thought. I would have liked to see a third path that had you obeying directives that make sense (jump over the pit, touch the statue) and ignoring the ones that don't (jump in the pit, stay still) with maybe some room for experimentation. Also detailed objects with color. Man I wrote way more than I meant to. Anyways 4/5.
wtf people. The game is fun if you don't use any kreds so why are you whining so much? Just play the game or don't, but stop whining about people trying to get paid for their hard work. (do you really NEED double cash anyways?)
This nor company of myself was the first time puzzler. They are both good imo. This game could benefit from the ability to fast forward though. Maybe click on the clock and type the number of seconds to wait till?
None of them stumped me for more than 2 minutes, but this kind of puzzle really plays to my strengths. Had lots of fun playing it, and it really got the gears turning. Reminded me of making easter eggs.
What's with the mad scientist achievement? After destroying every city except Winnipeg, I kept clicking the skip button so I wouldnt destroy the last one. I got my zombie endurance up to 30 and that's still not the max?!
Really cool game. I have some suggestions though:
as hellraiser1977 said, the inventory size is an issue.
- the ability to rearrange the skill buttons at the bottom without painfully pulling mods off and putting them on again in the right order would be nice.
- a button that removes all modules would be nice.
- hotkeys and module groups would be nice.
really sweet game that just needs a bit of polish/tweaking 4/5
Finally got impossible badge. It's annoying that a couple of the levels have a major luck component, due to the targeting issues and the random spawn points. Overall I loved this game. Much like desktop TD, but I like the feel of it way better.
Tried the posted solution, and i didn't have enough, so I did it like this: buy nothing except artillery and repairs. worked really well. With a touch pad too, so anybody who is decent at games should be able to do it with a real mouse.
There is a bug with the ghost sniper. If you dissasemble and the red lasers can still hurt you. If you get hurt enough to get downgraded then you are permanently dissasembled, being unable to shoot/get hurt.
it took me a little under 10 minutes to beat level 14. I found 15 to be about as difficult, even though I knew the gist of what I was supposed to do right away.
