Well, the problem here isn't the spin mechanic for me, that's a pretty cool idea, but the area you have to work with gets cut off by it. If you used a better application size (larger) that made it so we could see the platforms at the corners when it turns then it'd be a very good game.
A quick look at this game tells me it has potential to be fun, however there are a few problems that seemed to pop up in my short experience that made the gameplay abrasive. These were, in order of annoyance, the lack of any traction what-so-ever making any sort of ground travel a major hassle; air superiority, if you're flying you're moving faster than someone on the ground and you're harder to hit, and you have a better view of the battlefield for better elimination of ground troops, were there to be any. If the goal were to base the game -entirely- around flying, then why use cars at all? And... well, no... that's all the issues I had with the game, other than that it looks like it could be very fun.
The mathematical logic behind the beautiful machine here must be amazingly complex and yet so very simple... it's absolutely amazing and I can hardly begin to explain the glimpse into infinity that I feel when I watch these lines come together. It makes me feel like one of those small dots, and whether I'm one of the rebellious dots skirting the edges of the screen or one of those caught in the loop, we are all pulled by a greater whole, be it some proclaimed or unknown god, or simply the effort of every little dot combined. I know this is a bit much insight for a small piece of flash art, but the deep complexity of it scares me, seeing more than just two dimensions on my flat screen.
The first game makes me feel bad for Jack, despite the murder.... this one just gives him the appearance of a creeper, even if it does make more sense overall.
Just a thought, but shouldn't stone become lava at the highest temp whether touching other lava or not? If you're going for a semi-realistic physics style (as realistic as dots get I suppose) then stone would become lava at a certain level of heat artificially or naturally created.
This is nice, but it would be far better with a high-speed option, since extended periods just sitting around waiting for something to happen make this extremely dull after the first few minutes.
This might possibly be the greatest thing not to be a game since fried chicken.
Fluid animation and beginnings that make my head spin. ((For those of you that counted any endings at all, you counted wrong, it NEVER ENDS.))
Also, I beat the boss in a single attack.
All it takes is:
Chameleon, Beastman, lionforce, airspectre, dual weapon stat set (more info after combo) and two decent (but not necessarily perfect) muscle rippers. That gives you four attacks at 100-150 damage each with virtually no possibility of missing a hit.
Stats
Strength: 20
Stamina: 16
Bodybuild: 16
Coordination: 20
Precision: 20
Speed: 25 (including the rank 2 air ability)
Other stats aren't really as important for this build, seeing as strength + build gives you damage, stamina keeps you alive if your dodge speed fails, and precision + coordination keeps you from completely missing the target.
I think I found a funny bug, this armor freak that was taking no damage from any attacks died from a single cast of soften. I thought his armor was the problem, turns out it was the solution!
Not sure how, since it was pretty easy, but I just got the top score... huh =.w.=
Have fun beating it somebody, I know I'm not the best gamer out there.
Pretty sure I found a bug:
After buying the 2nd infinite power up (the one that makes specials continue after the level ends) your weapon doesn't change with your ship choice. I had a double shot at the end of a level and now I'm stuck with that ship's weapon.
