Is this game supposed to not save? Or is this yet another thing that my computer is doing horribly wrong?

I would enjoy this game, but it is EXTREMELY glitchy. I invariably end up stuck in the bottom left corner of the screen, unable to scroll up or right on the map. As you may imagine, this makes it nearly impossible to beat even the first level.
