One of the best of the series, but I do have some concerns. My first problem is the added vulnerability since Fishy. You do not regenerate hearts at the save points (and you can never get more) and there is no bullet deflector, so you end up dying a lot more. Also, the initial enemies in this game are very strong at the start, taking 5 (very slow) hits to kill and shooting purple circles. Also, there are too many save points in some regards. What use is it regenerating a battery every 10 seconds instead of every 30 when you can take 5 seconds to go back to the save point and get 10 batteries back. 10 batteries also make some of the abilities silly, like allowing you to fly for over 100 seconds at a time, and allowing you to use the dive bomb 10 times, essentially making you invulnerable for 30 seconds. And let's be honest, who's excited to hear that their robo-puppy can now shoot 23 bullets. So, the mechanics may not be perfect, but damn is it fun. 5/5.
This is one concept never meant for a computer. You are constantly rotating the shape, trying to figure out which pieces are where, but you have no idea if a piece extends through the middle or simply stops. You will go over every shape and swear that the the purple piece is trapped. Eventually you will look diagonally at the shape so you can try every possible direction and realize that in fact, the purple shape was not trapped. The back and forth controls are also frustrating and unintuitive. Still, the concept was screwed from the start, and the execution isn't bad for what the designer had to work with. 3/5
Yes, you basically tap A, so why is this game so addicting? I'm guessing it's because it has many elements of a huge RPG (side-quests, levels, bosses, spells, experience and attribute points), but it has cute graphics and really cute sound effects. Please, though, if you make a sequel, do not turn this game into a 50-hour 90-spell tech-tree ridden 25 stat "choose your path" online multiplayer pay-for-upgrades RPG. Please. Really. Don't.
Very hard, but very fun. The moving circles are very unintuitive at first, but once you play for a bit, it all seems to click. The levels are very well designed. Every circle is in the perfect place with the perfect configuration to make usually one solution that sends you all over the place. Very nice game.
Very good game, but I agree that the levels do not always get harder. Also, due to the restrictive paths on level 16, it is possible to reach a point where two 100's have a one on one duel that creates a stalemate. Each one is backed by at least one other 100 and they therefore live forever. I think that avoiding a stalemate should not be part of the challenge.
Most of it was painfully easy but it sounds like it wasn't created explicitly for gamers. The last level posed more of a challenge, and I wish the other levels were like that. I don't mind the simplicity of the gameplay or graphics, but I do mind that the music sounds just a bit too much like flatulence.
Fantastic looks but when you realize that you need to do well to get the hard achievement, it becomes frustrating that the odd dimensions of the game make the actual aiming a crapshoot. The game is certainly a feat of creativity and aesthetic appeal, but the technical aspects leave you without a badge, unless of course, you play through the course enough times to get sick of it. 3/5
3 Scores:
The fact that he changes poses depending on how big the crevice is. 5/5
The fact that every gap I find gets me a "perfect" score. 5/5
The fact that it is often physically impossible to get to get to the gap after gap 25. 1/5
Total 11/15 = 3.666666 / 5
Unfortunately, the game is not mind numbingly long so you are forced into difficult levels quickly. This leads people to think the game is very difficult. In reality you can beat the game much faster than other games because it is so short. One of the best games on Kongregate. Period.
5/5.
I really like how it is not too frustrating but can still take a while to beat a level. Solution to 29 was very interesting. Only thing I don't like is how pipes can't catch water that fell from other pipes. I understand wanting water to pass through horizontal pipes but it makes no sense and looks really awkward when it passes right through a vertical pipe. Also the water will stop flowing into the container but the water will continue to rise. Wrinkle in time? Call Doctor Who...
I can't believe that 50,000 + people stuck it out to get 15 points. Despite his efforts, the storyline ends up being monotonous. It's even monotonous to change your tank as you figure out how to put your tiny tank on the very perimeter of the alloted space to get access to the higher upgrades, without taking up the entire fighting bubble with your tank. On a more positive note, I did like the new red arenas.
getting fat DOES solve many problems. need to break up with your boyfriend? Want to win at seesaws? set a pie eating world record? survive for 6 weeks in a cave in antarctica? break a seat in a car? break a chair? break a couch? need I go on?
