5) Experience points are awarded when you touch the ground at end of a combo. 6) The longer the combo the more points you get. 7) At higher levels you get fewer points for combos. (I think, I may be wrong about this one) 8) Each level has a higher experience point cap than the previous level. Fuel. 1) Fuel is represented by an orange bar above the blue bar for experience. 2) Fuel only depletes in a level, you can not replenish it (this was a source of much confusion for me because of other comments I read). 3) The fuel gauge depletes to the left in contrast to the experience point gauge which fills to the right. 4) You start each level with a full fuel gauge (and this is what people are talking about when they say refuel). 5) When you run low on fuel you will get a flashing warning at the top of the screen. 6) When you run out of fuel your tank explodes and the game ends. 7) At higher levels your fuel depletes more quickly. I have painfully figured out the rules. For those like me who are not good at this game and need to understand the rules, here they are: 1) As you get combos, you get experience points. 2) Experience points are used to buy bad guys. 3) Each level ends when you meet or exceed the experience point cap for the level. 4) Experience points are represented by a light blue bar and number such as 11/100. That means you have 11 experience points out of 100 needed to end the level. [more in next post]
I don't understand the fuel thing at all. I read a bunch of comments and got the idea that I needed to land in order to get more fuel. I specifically got to the ground more than once, but it did not seem to affect fuel. In general the game is shockingly poorly explained. There are clearly many rules that govern what happens in game, and none of them are explained to the player.

If you would like to make the game easier, but less fun because of the lack of challenge, replay the early levels so that you get glowing frames. This will push your wizard level over the appropriate level for each city defense. This will transform the game from a sedate planning and strategy game to a frantic button pushing series of blowouts. You can then get to the point where you get the glowing boarder the first time you play any city. This will save a lot of time, but as I said, be much less fun. This is an odd game in that it gets easier as you go along. The initial levels, and especially the first epic battle, are much harder than the rest of the game.

Now I have an absurd game in the other direction. Computer cursed me three times. I cursed him once. He has 11 Builders, 549 Bricks. 9 Soldiers, 273 Weapons. 10 Magic, 199 Crystals. I have 3 Builders, 14 Bricks. 5 Soldiers, 59 Weapons, 3 Magic, 14 Crystals. The best part is, I win. He has 2 Castle and 9 Fence. I am about to swat him.

Oops, messed up the builder and bricks count. I had the higher numbers on both.
I just had the most absurd game ever. In a game where I was not playing to prolong the game, I got to a state where I had Builder production 2, Bricks 13. Soldier Production 10, Weapons 247. Magic production 6, Crystals 199. Castle 93, Fence 22. The computer had Builder production 8, Bricks 263. Soldier Production 2, Weapons 6. Magic production 5, Crystals 22. Castle 20, Fence 0. I never discarded or failed to play a card that would advance me to victory. I. Just. Could. Not. Draw. An. Action. Card. Finally I got a drew a fort at the above state. I thought it was ridiculous when my stores got above 300 total, and then they finally finished over 700.

So I was on level 86 of survival when I dropped the mouse (maybe onto the keyboard, I don't understand why this happens) and the window I was running the survival game in closed. When I went to open the game again it remembered my party, but not that I had ever fought at all. That was two days of a lot of combats. Very annoying. the normal game is very good at remembering where you are and saving it. I wish that were true of the survival as well. It is hard to keep a window open that long if you are going for a record. I was already at 6th or so for the day, and I had hopes of making it to the all time list. I will try again, but it is very discouraging when stuff like that happens.
I am now on level 76 of the survival game and it has started to get challenging. Level 75 was actually pretty hard. The monsters are now at level 13, so they do eventually get harder. I think it runs you through at least a dungeon's worth of monsters before the level of the monsters goes up a level though.

Survival is a little bit boring. I am on wave 56. Every once in a while I have a hard fight, but not really that often. Every time one of my guys or wargolems die, it is so tedious. Pass. Pass. Pass. Buff. Buff. Pass Pass. Pass. Pass. Buff. Pass. Pass x22. Buff. Pass x56. Passy Pass Pass Passtastic. Aaaannd kill the last dude. I am not sure whether the guys are getting harder, although they have stayed at level 12 ever since I started paying attention. I don't really forsee not being able to make it through a wave, it just seems like a test of endurance (mine, not the characters, they are fine)
