If you overkill a stage requirement with sword of judgement (as in, 1-2 victories remaining) it'll start the next stage with 1 victory already. If you overkill the second to last stage with sword of judgement, you start the final level with 1 victory and instantly win.
Glad you found it :) I didn't think a lot of people would use judgment because it's not as sexy as other skills on paper but I've been surprised at how many people use it.
Pawns are a bit weaker than before, but queens (and your ability to farm them) are a lot better. Cantrip spam seems a bit more viable than before as a result, and you can no longer be screwed by a triple pawn draw. The change to pawn movement doesn't bother me because they simply move how I expect them to now.
You can reduce the grind by a lot by intelligent use of your abilities to pre-preemptively take out enemies. Fire a rocket at a soldier who's almost dead so it hits the helicopter behind it, throw three knives at an enemy so it kills the guy behind him that otherwise can't be targeted until you kill the tanky bunker, etc. Once you have 10 dogs, leveling it up doesn't scale well, but knives continue past 10. You can never have too many rockets.
If you save up a couple blink and fear/hellfire scrolls, you can rush the goblet on the final area without much of a fight. Just blink into the room, fear everyone, blink next to the goblet, and just pick it up.
I'm sure everyone agrees that the barbarian is just not good. Sure he has some skill spam in a big fight, but melee skills aren't really good enough for it to be worth all the downsides of the class. The only thing that makes him playable is that he comes with Strafe Attack. How about if Rage gave strength instead of just melee mastery (so it also increases max hp temporarily), and maybe some melee life tap (rage/2, rounded down)? This would allow him to thrive in big fights, surrounded by the enemy, with a cleave weapon, like a barbarian is supposed to do.
Alright so the most important thing to realize is that high level equipment is barely more expensive than low level equipment. Therefore, the first thing you should do is find a path to the dark world, as there are two shops there that sell very good gear. If you can't make it to the warp portal without fighting something strong, you should just reset. There's often an ambush on the path to the dark world from the castle, but it may be possible to go around it if you stay off the road as much as possible.
Really wish I could sort my weapons/armor by level. Anyway, some tips for party composition:
Remember that Energy is a worthless stat for non-casters; try to find fighters with the lowest possible energy.
Arcane casters seem too specialized to be reliable.
If you don't use a divine caster, try using the vampire god? Haven't tried.
Having one healer and 2 front-line warriors worked best for me. In particular, wait until late to specialize at least one of them into a weapon type, and instead put skill points into leadership/attack/defense. It gives that person a lot more freedom of choice in their weapons, while still being effective.
I keep trying to figure out how to rate this less than 1/5. Even ignoring the P2W, there are flaws everywhere. I often click on one card and somehow select another. Balance doesn't exist on purpose.
Hi! We are trying to find out what is causing that bug. I didn't manage to reproduce it ever on my computer (I just need to get it once to fix it). So if someone getting it manages to get it again, pressing F12 to get the browser console and sending me the contents would be awesome, because it would allow me to insta-fix-it probably. Cheers and sorry you got this issue! :( Dis.
It's a cute concept, but I have a few gripes with it. For one, the controls are kinda clunky, with the environment selection a bit weird and the inability to walk diagonally. It'd also be nice if I walked a bit faster. It also has some common railroad item problems: There's no way he doesn't have money anywhere in his house, I refuse to believe that a car trunk can get so hot that you can't bear touching it for a second with thin socks on (I mean, just fold them in half and use that if it's really that hot), and I bet that I could get a package open with a pair of shears.
Seriously guys, memory leaks were common years ago, but everybody but you has managed to make games without them by now. Look it up on Google or something!
Don't spend plasma before jumping: It gets much easier to collect afterwards, and you need a ton for the ultimate equipment to be better than your standard stuff.
The challenge of figuring out which way is down in pro mode isn't really fun when the natural position ends up being some random diagonal. It's still not hard, just tedious.
The staff is by far the best weapon class. It's the only thing that can easily hit flying enemies and the boss, which are the hardest things to damage. Once you have the pierce skill, it's completely OP. The problem is that there's no respec for skill points.
