Loved it! Just one comment though, I would have designed it so that you have 3 verbal warnings, and after that if you under-perform again you get fired i.e. Lucifer doesn't say "GET BACK TO WORK" but "YOU'RE FIRED". Turns out exactly the same in terms of chances.
Minor bug: while playing a level, pressing R will reset the level, but on the level finished screen, it will not, and you have to click the restart button. Bit annoying for us compulsive 3-star-everythingers.
Cool, easy little game. AI frustratingly basic but hey, for a game made in one day, it's great.
One question: are the eggs the penguins' or the turtles'? Because in the first case, it seems the penguins spontaneously lay them out of the sheer joy of killing a turtle (I too like to have a spontaneous period when I commit murder) and this makes all those badass killers females... And in the second, it makes all those slaughtered turtles pregnant mothers viciously eviscerated for their unborn young to be used as currency. Both are pretty sick (and hilarious). Video game logic FTW. :D
Okay I cleared my cache and cookies and made sure I have all the necessary plug-ins... but I still only get a blank screen after the game has finished loading. (Chrome on Ubuntu)
Buttons change colour as you click, clouds don't always move, beer tray doesn't follow the mouse, and otherwise erratically unresponsive. Music gets on your nerves and overall very annoying.
Really cool idea and fantastic implementation. Love the change of pace between colour combination, patterns and shape matching and mixtures of those. Great touch of humour too.
Interesting idea, but the boundaries between shapes seem a little fuzzy - I get near a triangle without touching but it still disappears. Also it would be nice to just click the circle to start, holding down the mouse button is a problem with low mouse sensitivity and it gets annoying if you lose your score because your hand got a cramp.
Interesting idea, but what does it show, how similarly to others we think? There should be some sort of slack for synonyms or variations of the same word (e.g. sad / sadness or house / houses / home) or weighting on how popular the word you used is (show a ranking?). Also the images are often blurred or confusing (resampling?). Some pictures are interpreted wrong (e.g. for the database diagram the top answer was program which technically is not entirely wrong but not 100% correct).
Thx for your reply. I agree that the scoring algorithm is not yet flexible enough but it will adapt over time when more people play the game. Right again sometimes the images are blurred. This due to the fact that they are taken randomly from the internet. Sorry I do not have an idea how to solve that issue. Just use the skip button if the image is bad.
Thx again for your comment
