Nitrome, I've said this before and I'll say it again - If you'd implement the Kong API in to your games so that they could get badges, you'd gain a lot more recognition on this site.
Oh, Dangit. If you bring up the options, it clears all the numbers you've filled in. A bit disappointing if you think that nine square icon is a "Show mistakes" button.
The real problem here is that the game lags when there are too many zombies - which is exactly when you need to be able to shoot, but you can't: because the game is lagging.
I can't help but wonder if there's some way to prioritize the player's actions over those of the zombies in the command queue?
Okay, the final level is just broken. The lag was already getting bad by level 15, but The ship spamming smoke everywhere means that it the game ceased responding to my clicks at all. Since the boss can only be beaten by throwing smoke bombs (or meteors) at it, non-responsiveness to clicks means the final level is literally unbeatable. Implement a quality change button, and do something about that lag.
This means the difference between a four-star and a one-star game, guys.
Alright, aside from the vertical difficulty leap on the last wave of the game, there are some other odd logic breaks in this game:
Skeletons bleed when injured. Why?
Archers never shoot up when confronted with dragons. Ever. Are they all descended from Megaman?
This game is slightly less aggravating because you can pre-grill pancakes in anticipation of orders. These games still don't hold a candle to your Cactus McCoy series, though.
The game is far easier with the antagonist spells than the pacifist spells for one, very important reason: the antagonist set has a counter for the knight, and the pacifist set does not. (It's the power glove - while the power glove is equipped, the knight cannot hurt you.)
Of lesser note is the fact that the freeze time spell does nothing more than allow you to collect coins (you can't interact with anything else while time is frozen), whereas great barrier, freeze time's counterpart, actively prevents escapes and can even slay those attempting to escape.
Why in blazes would Sydney discard her handgun in favor of a sword - especially when Phil is still stuck with a brick? Give Phil the darned sword and keep your handgun with infinite ammo, if you please.
