Both issues that yashainu is talking about can be solved through better pacing. 4 active skills isn't too much at all, however when the player is new and has access to them all VERY quickly it can feel a bit hard to keep track of initially. Pacing it all out a bit more would not only solve the issues he mentioned but make it feel more meaningful when the player manages to finally get that upgrade they want.
Otherwise great game. 5/5
Loved this game. Easy to just pick up and play without having to sit through a lagre tutorial. Once you get used to the jumping at around 300-400m level it really gets quite intense and challenging. I've also read a few comments about it being luck based which it most certainly isn't...I doubt a luck based game would have me sit here for a bit with my attempts getting progressively better and then beating 350m twice in a row at the end. If you find yourself in an awkward position just let yourself slide down to an easier spot rather than taking the jump.
I found it a bit repetetive in all honesty. Didn't hold me for all 40 levels. Unless I'm missing something, it feels like this style is just a bit over-done now.
The main word to describe this is frustrating. I plan on completing it, it's just annoying that most of it is button timing you know you can do, just getting it all down one bit after the other without dieing and getting sent back to the start can get very annoying to do in some parts.
This game kept me up until very late at night, I guess that's a good sign =). Very fun to play and solve. I remember playing Civiballs a while back, but wasn't aware Civiballs 2 ever came out. 5/5
I definitely enjoyed the gimmick of being able to play as anything I killed, unfortunately this was overthrown by the fact I had to run through the same mazes over and over again to try and eventually find the 4 dragons (2 of which, when I found didn't even atack me), after which I then went and one-shotted the last boss with my little nooby character (Triclops Warrior) I got on my first mini-dungeon. Cool game, but the gameplay could do with some work.
How apprpropriate, I had just finished watching a video called, 'This is Dctor Octogonapus' (This is Sparta parody) and then he shows up here and destroys my speed upgrade.
I think this concept has a fair bit of potential, if you pursue this idea further I think it'll give you a really good game. Like most have already said, a tutorial would be nice, but it can be worked out at the moment anyway. Other than that, so long as you keep making original level designs, I think it'll make an awesome game. Great job for your first game!
