I didn't get any gems when I was away, the game was off but I put it to mine stones with one hit needed to destroy in hope to get some gems but I stayed on the same number. Can anyone explain me that?

My score can't be submited even though I have finished the game and chosen ''Game completed'' award, hope it is only temporary my internet problem.
