Saw a couple complaints about crazy clicking, found out almost at the end of my game taht you can drag elements to other elements, even in the same group while only having it open once. Checking 'a' + 'bcde', a->b, c->a, a->d, e->a, etc. is muuuuuch faster dragging than clicking.
Neat concept, but as said below, endurance is easy. Couple pyramids to spam units early on, save your pennies and build tank factories. They're pretty useless til you get 3-4 of 'em, but once you do you can't die. Also, the guys from brick hospitals seem to do nothing, I've never seen them repair a dead unit on the field (like the line of tanks that dies when an EMP hits).
For the last level: 4 dwarfs straddle the road at the beginning with a bard to slow. 3 magics go top right with another bard, 4 trolls go between road and water at bottom right. 2 clerics above the trolls, 3 below, 3rd bard in the bottom right corner.
Get the bards a level or two quick to cover the entire track w/slow, then get trolls up asap with a couple levels on clerics here and there so they all cover all your trolls. 4 level 4 5-cleric-boosted trolls destroy most things.
Upgrades come slow, don't bother upgrading dwarfs til mid-late game, and I didn't upgrade the magics at all until like 2nd to last wave or so (weak vs phys).
Extremely elegant Level 9:

Must've worked on that thing 4 hours after I got basic functionality to compact it down and optimize both input and output size. There is some slight redundancy/extra stuff (f.ex, 2 power leads going to the same place, and the 2 input leads finishing out the 'box' rather than just terminating). Anyway, awesome work Zach, again. My favorite engineering game yet.
Brilliant Tutor of Combat (Tier 5). Did a little construction, a little stable-mucking, but mostly struggled through night watch until I got the bonus all the time. School was all combat until attack was maxed, then I did a lot of theology to boost my magic defense. After that I focused on clearing all the dungeons. I had a ton of money. THe downside is fighting = sin, for some bizarre reason, so after the dungeons were clear I used my vast fortune to do nothing but train theology and rest. I got a lot of str/con, and also got quite a few wis/cha from using the 200g rest.
Quite a neat game. All the fights seem to eventually come down to mana burn/steal, and that makes the later fights take a while. But the only real issue I have is as others have said, special events should pop up separately so when you're click-spamming mana training you don't miss them. Red fire clan leader and great mage = win. :)
4/5 -- Quite neat, but needs a bit more variety in the cards, and a bit better balance for multicolor decks. Maybe revamp the power system so that there's only 1 power you increase and you can spend it on any color you like? Multicolor decks are pretty slow as it is.
As for decks: I built a red/white soldier deck, all extra-cheap cannon fodder with a few red guys that get tougher with more soldiers out, and the only white were archers and acolytes that cost 1W -- basically more fodder to pump up the commanders. Once I slimmed it down to 30 cards, took out all the expensive stuff and added battle cry (I think? +2str for the turn), it steamrolled everything in challenge mode. My deck only needed 1W power, but true multicolor decks are so slow you die before you get in your power moves.
The author has nailed down a unique theme for his games, and as with Codex I'm quite hooked. Unfortunately, as with Codex, instructions are spare to nonexistant, and in this game even more than Codex, that requires a great deal of tinkering (or researching) before you can even begin to properly play the game. 3/5
Dude! I was just thinking, 'Man, I wish here was a new version' the other day. Now, boom, here it is, better faster stronger with more features. 5/5 fo sho!
