After a few deaths I got the hang of the game. Eventually I got a max level dual swords and would just spin to win in groups of enemies for more experience. The bonuses you got in the game only stacked 5x each into the red color. I beat the boss stage on the 4 complete stars. No new progression besides lvl up stats. Items cannot be upgraded anymore, bonuses cannot be collected anymore. And the maps keep repeating so it is boring from here out.
A purely defensive deck with attack boosts is the way to go. Attack boosts on the counter blocks. As long as you keep applying some form of attack boost on each turn you can rack up huge damage boost. Like I got +47 attack on next turn. You can always intentionally lose and get a +1 attack powerup when you try the same level again.
There are 2 soundtracks going on in the game? I put both the music and the sound to off, yet there is fuzzy loud music in the game still, both either in mission select or in the actual game.
Having the option of premium is really helpful for this game. The prices are not soo bad either, however if you were stuck on a level you'd go to previous levels and grind it for more experience, and you also got plenty of +10 skull drops in doing so. When I reached maxed rank at 51 I had over 3,000 skulls which helped me finish all the levels on night difficulty.
The game is very unique. First time seeing an idle puzzle game. The puzzle parts are mostly for prioritizing how to combine units with limited space and expanding in a smart way. Music is also really good. Having the ability to change the experience bonuses free of cost can really help to change your play style to adapt to the different levels. Sometimes you need lots of capacity and sometimes it is better to just speedup with left click.
I just absolutely hate games that are just so luck RNG based. I do a ranger gameplay and I get an amazing sword for a warrior, I do a warrior and I get an amazing goggles for a ranger. I play a barbarian and I never ever get an axe drop. Finding the religion you want is impossible, I wish I accepted the first religion I found because it was the only religion I got for ever. I got bad luck, so I can't win.
I don't normally 5 star puzzle games, but during all the puzzles I found they were really unique and interactive. The final level was the tipping point for me where I rated it 5/5. Thanks for sharing this demo game for Kongregate :)
Let's list off all of the fun an extremely exciting parts of this game: (1) Energy (Attempt) system, (2) Wait timers on rewards from winning, (3) Limits on your friends list, (4) A gold mine to earn a flat income which gives a net profit after 2 days per upgrade, (5) Fame losses if you lose in pvp battles, (6) VIP SYSTEM, (7) Asking to rate 5 stars in game (upon hitting league 25). If you liked this comment + the Horror tag below the game where the add tags button is.
Only about 10% of people can get the hard badge. Probably due to finishing the puzzle to find not just 1 error, but realizing they did probably around 9 errors just built on top of each other, and you will never find them all from the end puzzle screen. Story of my experience thus far.
I've been doing the puzzles slowly just to get another screenshot and say the game requires guessing, sometimes I actually did guess. But when I look at it, there is always some hint I missed that could have made it easier. Still some puzzles require like 130IQ
Thanks, you have perfectly described the spirit of the game :-)
