@below I myself find the second stage of the boss pretty easy. I'm not saying I'm particularly great or anything, i just didn't find that part very hard. I would usually slide under fireballs if possible, and only ever jump when the bottom row fireballs forced me to.
That or some sort of item that "saves" you from a wall once, just like the boots save you from a pitfall. Like a phase locket or something. (Yeah, that's the first thing that came into mind, it's an item from Shovel Knight. Obviously shouldn't be the exact same, but something similiar.)
Only one issue with the game, the solid walls are not different enough from the background or platforms that you can jump through. I frequently die because I'm looking at the right side to catch all enemies early, and then i get left behind because i didn't see a wall i was supposed to slide under. I mean, obviously that's my fault, but.. yeah. Other than that, fantastic work. Enjoyed Rogue Soul 1, and enjoying this one as well.
Some of the choices are rather weird. Either loot the chests in battle, or don't loot them at all? After searching the library, i can't read the tome anymore? Same for the chapel, the pool if water mysteriously disappears if i search it instead. I come across coins and a potion, and i have to either drink it right then or not at all. Why can't i take it with me? Choices like these are okay, but give me a reason why i can only do one or the other. Let's say you read the tome, but all of a sudden the ground starts to shake, and the roof collapses, and you are forced to leave, unable to come back. You could take some examples from a game called FTL : Faster Than Light, it does these things very well. Other than that, a very enjoyable game. Keep it up!
A little bug in the character creation, if you hit "random" and then cancel instead of saving, the hair and clothing color are saved anyway, everything else seems as it's supposed to though.
Simply brilliant. Had to restart the level a few times because a bridge blew up or something and i couldn't cross it anymore... other than that, great. Loved the first 2 games, and this one did not disappoint.
I think one of the quest locations should be a bloglodyte's den, since the customers clearly prefer it over my shop. I would gladly send them on that quest.
1 thing i found rather annoying, the allies dont seem to have a clue what "defensive" means. they could keep healing, regening focus and shielding themselves, each other or me, and thats what i want them to do. but they just randomly attack the enemy instead of helping, to the point where they dispel the enemy's health regen so my subversion doesnt do any damage.
this game is seriously peaceful, but it would be even more so if A: the gold rewards were higher or B: the upgrade prices were significantly lower. peace out!
I have to be honest here. Quit it. Please, just quit it. Don't you think there's enough of these games? Everything is automatic. Clicking a piece of text over and over again and have the game play itself is frankly not all that great. I recall about 5, there's probably a lot more, of games like this, and they are all just clones of each other. Let us actually play the game, not have it play itself. This is the problem people don't seem to be able to get over. I did not bother to get far in the game so i can't bash everything in it, all im saying is that this fully automated crap is a little bit overdone.
Typical. Post something, find another thing to mention. Wish i could edit the message. Anyway, The room after a boss, where you get a new magic and refill your health/mana, i also sometimes end up walking into a magic i dont want or just go through the open door. It's slightly annoying to carefully click my way in the room. Optional movement keys instead of mouse a possibility? Or do something similiar with the door/magic that the chests already have (and the stat coins in my prev. message) ?
Any chance to make the +stat coins not selectable immediatly? I end up slashing enemies into pieces and accidentally clicking, say, +5 crit when i wanted +5 hp, because it dropped right on top of me. Kinda like the chest mechanic? Other than that, a very good game. Repetitive, but i find myself coming back to it once in a while.
Thanks for the detailed feedback, we heard both your comments.
