with the offhand books and shields implemented, i was going to grab the first book that dropped for my mage, but a shield dropped first. i noticed that at the level i could equip it, it was giving me 30% extra hp, and i think thats quite a bit better than the small amount of extra dps that the books have for mages
i think if you could add a function to have multiple characters going at once, without multiple windows, it could make it more fun to watch different classes race to lvl and stuff.
