Upgrades seem pointless. Regardless of whether I spend money on new engine, some gas, gun, etc. it all boosts the distance I get to travel the next stage by the same amount. Also, tilt is virtually useless and boost adds some interaction but only to the point of where I stare at speed and just hit boost when it's low.
I used the shielder and mage combo. Game got very repetitive very fast. Essentially used the same strategy for almost the entire game except last stages where I had to throw in love potions. Bosses were worse. With 80 k hp I just had to sit there and slowly whittle the guy's hp down using the same skills on repeat. It took a long time. Shielder did very little damage to boss with thorn while mage had to do the brunt of the work. However, throw in having to use potions, meditation and so on, it took the mage an eternity to kill the boss.
Maybe this combo was supposed to be the super slow combo? In either case, I read you said that to beat last level you had to use love potions which makes me think that regardless of who you pick strategy is going to generally be the same for everyone, which I think shouldn't be the case.
Thanks for the feedback, if you see that your fights are too slow, equip your mage with the full magic dmg set, also to deal extra damage with your shielder you can use the armor set + jugernaut + auto attacks (juggernaut makes your auto attacks deal bonus damage based on your armor), the love potion sugestion I made is because when you are having troubles and you dont have cc, love potion can be handy. :D
Strategy - go for the quests then die. Collect as much fuel and as much stars as possible. Then use stars to get upgrades (double jump is a must) and then use fuel to go straight to boss. Defeat boss while perpetually jumping.
Another way to do is to just grind level 1 boss and grab keys while going towards him.5 key chest will usually unlock a really good power ups (sometimes even all power ups) Once you unlock crate and get all power ups just fuel to end of stage 3 and beat the game.
At the very last level there's a hidden item. I got it and now I have to wait until chapter two to see it. Made me sad. Wish I could just keep playing/grinding after I finish chapter I
Beat game with all bird build. Basically on stage 1-3 in the second egg, counting horizontally from second egg, is a bird. Basically redid that stage to get 5 of those birds. Three went air build and two went water build. My birds always went first and destroyed enemy before they had a turn. Generally, I put all my stars into running so I could rush stage and just destroyed it from there. Every once in a while I'd have to respec my stars into minion speed, to beat people whose minions had higher speed than mine.
Bug: There's some sort of bug in the game when unequiping gems. Basically, if you go into minion details then gem then click the equip and start quickly unequiping gems sometimes the gem screen (that shows ALL gems you possess) will disappear into background and your screen will get dark. One solution is to click around hoping you'll hit the invisible unequip button. Otherwise, you have to refresh the browser screen.
Also had to note that the wealth is probably the worst skill out there. It's basically pointless as most stages you need to rush as much as possible so you're not saving gold or mana and additionally all the other skills give much better immediate bonuses.
So just beat the game with three stars on everything, all achievements, all challenges etc. on everything and i'm 10 experience short from next level with no new exp available to me. Without that 10 experience I can't get the last level and get the last missing skill.
I went from going 1/4th of the length to beating the game after upgrading. I found bumping the rocket was the best as I could see which letters came up and it ensured I got boost. Didn't even need the pogo stick.
The game is sort of bland. No upgrades just exp which supposedly gets you better aim but it accumulates very slowly. Just aim at target taking wind into account and fire. Rinse and repeat. Do this until you get good enough get into world cup. Repeat until you're good enough to place #1 in the world cup.
I beat the game with max health, moving, turret speed, and cannon. Rocket is at 4 and laser is at 3.
Game is fun and there are a lot of different enemies, including a pretty awesome boss. But, be prepared for a LONG grind to get to money needed to beat the game
Took a lot of grinding to get to last level. You earn more money the higher wave you reach, which is fine because it lets you unlock 2-3 levels/waves per upgrade. However, it becomes a problem mid/late game when it takes you 30 minutes to reach the wave you need to reach in order to make some money just to unlock a single upgrade.
I for one don't think this game needs an upgrade menu. What's the point? It's pretty fun and balanced as is. AI could use a little work but then again if AI was any better the hard levels would be impossible.
Goal of level 45. Get a lab upgraded to use the capture skill. Constantly pump units into that lab and ignore everything else. Use capture skill on another lab. Use capture skill on both towers by the boss just make sure they have 100 units in them. Use labs, both towers and everything to just rush boss as soon as he sends units out. Once you take over boss you've won. The enemy doesn't bother attacking the boss tower so do what you want from here. I usually just use towers to use the poison skill to win.
You'll have to play around a little. Maybe upgrade a few units before starting to rush the labs. It's all about how boss reacts to you as to whether or not you'll get lab. You'll prob have to quit and retry quite a few times to get it.
Game is on the way to easy side until last level. Even then, dying has 0 effect so last level is just a matter of time. Biggest concern is that I can't reset skills and/or attributes so what I get i'm stuck with. Also no way of grinding so can't get extra levels if I wanted to. Shop has no purpose except to try to get hero items. Lastly, skills need more defining. How am I supposed to know that on a warrior I can activate multi strike? and life steal at the same time but not multi strike and fire sword unless I try it?
OVerall though it was a decent game but lacked a bit.
Just wanted to post my input on skills. Commerce is useless, may have a point for first few levels but that's about all. The repair droid is overshadowed by just about any other skill. Problem with repair droid is it's weak early on as battles are to short and despite battles getting longer gets weaker due to massive amounts of HP base gets due to hp boosts. Not sure how much +1 armor is so not sure how useful it is. All the other skills seem fine with me :)
Money needs more uses. At end of game I had 16 k with only a level 2 commerce skill. With that said I'm glad I didn't waste points in commerce... Thing is you only need 1-2 weapons unlocked per hero. After that you're just spending money on repairs..
Found two bugs. 1. Cliper ship does more damage, per shot, than Line ship when damage shows 400 for Cliper and 440 for line. 2. Might be intentional but if you click the map button after battle instead of waiting for salvage you don't get any gold or WP which just forces people to have to wait.
Few things - 1. Go to awards section, bottom left of town to upgrade various attributes using stars. 2. You can scroll the change ship tree. 3. If the ship you last used got destroyed click on another ship on your next round otherwise it'll "seem" like u can't do anything that round. 4. Fight constantly as ships come in range and focus on using WP to change ships rather than upgrading because WP is sort of scare. 5. Trade frequently between fights you'll need to have enough money for best ships, best upgrades, and using dynamite every turn to win the game. 6. Obviously stick with right side of ship tree other side is overpriced and focused on trading which won't win you game. 7. Up arrow means buy, down means sell. 8. If you unlock multiple upgrades on a ship buying the last upgrade on the line also buys you the previous upgrade and saves u monies.
Game is way to slow for my taste. Hate wasting 20-30 minutes on a level just to have a giant walk through at the end which will make my efforts pointless because I gain nothing for redoing a level or not gaining an extra star. Additionally, tower difference is sort of bland and AI is kind of annoying. I like the idea of giants but they can completely nullify units such as swordsmen/hero who get tied up attacking the giant and are unable to do anything else until the giant is dead. The thing I do like about the game is the animation, the different mob styles and types. Also, like the maps and the wind spell.
