Strategy guide;
1. Get three of the green totem (you can reload page before you complete action that brings you back to room list in order to redo that room).
2. Get the saw weapon from gold orb (gold orb is hidden in each room). At three green totems you'll be able to select 20 damage each time.
3. Do whatever you want just DON'T get red totem. It casts fireball which will cancel any freeze that's on the enemy.
You can try getting gold helmets, wands, and gold shields and trading them at shop for permanent stat increases/full heals. Stats cap at 20 so doing this and leveling becomes pointless after a bit. I'd suggest getting three gold totems as they increase amount of loot you get from chests/monsters.
Game was a bit easy for me. I read through the comments and people have loads of different ways of defeating the game which says to me not that there are a lot of different viable strategies but that the game itself is just to easy. Also, I don't really feel like a villian in this game it's as if the words hero and villian were interchanged but the concept behind it didn't follow through. I even think I saw a grandma sitting beside the villian in the song :). That being said I enjoyed playing the game, was quirky, fun, and gave me a way to complete my getting every single star need even after game was over! 5/5 overall.
Playing on the last level on hard and one of the goblins became glitched. He became immortal and none of my skills could touch him so he just kept walking around dropping bombs while all I could do was watch him.
Just want to amend my previous comment. The game becomes more interactive near the endgame when Jane comes on a rocket. At that point I have to move back and forth to avoid the dynamite since it decreases speed. However, at this stage u're going so fast it's impossible to actually target items, pedestrians, or avoid debris and since double jumping reduces speed it becomes pointless to use unless you're fixated on getting stars. It might help if stars gave a speed boost or if screen was zoomed out slightly so that debris and such would be seen earlier and double jumping would have more of a purpose.
Two things. One, the developers response to phoenixUNDRfire is the best dev response i've ever seen and two after reading chudley's response I tried just using boosts early and watching tv while game played itself. Got a better distance that way then when I interacted with the game :( something has to be changed. Great intro to the game btw.
The one thing I don't like about this game is the pattern for objectives. I like playing until I die but the game forces you to suicide. I can reach day 8 but it's meaningless because the objective tells me to do something on day one and the game doesn't count me reaching to day 8 because the next objective tells me to reach day 6.. Wasn't I just on day 8??? Game should just record highest wep, score, turrets, ring count, etc. So that when an objective pops up and you've already done it on a previous round, it counts towards it. Otherwise, I'm enjoying the game.
Things to remember 1. The shotgun and the sniper have two modes. simple click them again to switch modes. 2. The snipers second mode shoots through everything but also hurts allies. 3. Different modes recharge simultaneously, so shoot shotgun, press 2 to switch modes and shot. Rinse and repeat, this will carry you through the game. 4. Read the objectives because some levels you have to get objects in the basket and other levels you have to avoid it.
