Compendium of hard mode tips: ---Upgrading health is really good, because it increases health recovery after battles. ---Right before the boss, reset the librarian's skills and max Cleanse. Send him in first to do loads of %health damage. BUILDS: ---DETECTIVE---: One point in health, max dodge, then concentration, then health. Useless versus poison, and low damage= bad.---LIBRARIAN---: One point in health, then max concentration, then back to health. Weak: %health gimmick does little damage, and small health pool. ---STUDENT---: max out Diamond Shot, 1-2 Poisonous Shot, 2 Focus, and then health. She's squishy, so treat her as a 4-shot cleanup crew. ---LAST FLAKE---: One point in health, max regen, one point in Bite, and then health. Broken character due to her insane sustain and high damage; can solo the boss. ---HUNTER---: Max tiger claw, with an point in eagle eye to make life easier if necessary (or leave at level 4 if it’s too fast). Drop the rest in health. High sustained damage.
Amazing game. Some tips:
- NEVER upgrade weapons unless they're at least 7 or 8 levels higher. Doing this saves money for mods.
-Pick a few weapons and STICK with them. Don't try to upgrade all 7. I used laser and wave for 99% of the game, with minor upgraded sawblade and charge for certain bosses.
-Maxing int and def is the way to go on hard. This is a game where surviving > doing damage.
-You can redo past levels (this sounds stupid but I didn't know you could do this on my first playthrough)
-Skillwise, I went for Explosive Crit- Rapid Reload- Overdrive Charger- Overheal- Defensive Shielding.
-If you're going for the special ending, you need careful managing of who to talk to each day. Check the kong forums- there are detailed cafe guides there.
-For the special ending, you cannot die until day 18; the game won't allow you to quit and reload, but you CAN pause before you die and escape!
-Finally, please read every line of dialogue- it's what the game's all about.

I find the biological class easier than the psycho.
Some general tips - Turn autosave off, and try to get the weapons drops off of the ZPCI guy and the Warden in zone 1. Respec after the first battle for 19 attribute points to dump in vitality. Adrenaline is great for removing poison when fighting the Twisted Experiment. Do not underestimate the utility of Disrupt- for example, when fighting Felicity, to prevent her casting Black Metal, just use maxed out Disrupt on her over and over again to force her to use her focus recovering move while Veradux whittles away at her. Crystallize will be your most important ability in effectively creating a 3v2 for much of the game. Later on, your combo becomes Crystallize - Toxicant Form - Predator Form - Shadow Blend - Agile Exposure - Withdraw to effectively instagib a given opponent.
