Just wait until the final case; you're investigating six pillars of the community, and usually most if not all have a career-ending secret. In the current case, Minister runs a massive scam, General is a closet pervert, Tycoon is a secret cult leader, Commissioner is an imposter, Socialite is having a secret affair, and Mayor is THE CRIMINAL MASTERMIND!
It's a good game with one slight hitch: on some levels, it's possible to reach the number of pieces without using every cut, but the game doesn't recognize that (so you have to undo the last cut to avoid going over!)
It's a good game! The main problem, though, is that I often beat the smaller stages before I even get the mana needed to use a special ability! If you make a sequel, I recommend lowering the base cost of most special abilities, but have it rise on use and gradually return to the base cost.
The game is far too lenient when it checks if any blocks are falling off. It's way too easy for a circular one to roll off during the "next level" window.
Have you thought about making an overhead, two-dimensional version instead of the current sideview, one-dimensional version? Not only is that more realistic, but it'll also greatly cut down the "must travel two hundred feet to reach the closest resource spawning point" problem.
