The aiming system is well executed. Kudos for that. The search party should be less fragile at the start, so that a less luck-based game is possible. Other than that, good game.
Some combinations of obstacles/enemies are a bit too tightly timed IMO. E.g. farmer after hoplite, or branch after front arrows. Combined with the sometimes laggy input response, I ended up mashing spacebar and down arrow instead of a well-timed keystroke. This takes away a bit of the great fun I had with this game, seeing as I felt it was more about knowing which combos are tight rather than sheer response time.
"Note: If you particapte in Syndicate Wars your new player protection will be removed and cannot be reverted back." Way to go. I'll definitely spend money now that you've baffled me with your proficiency in English...
When aiming for the hard badge, be sure to make your first jump towards the sun, and rack up a good combo (preferably 20 or above) before starting to "escape" it. For general tips and tricks, cf. Ohbye's comment.
Although the game is broken, it's nice to see that rewards for beating a mission again are *incremental*. So after beating "Sir James Training" about 10 times, I rack up 2.5k exp per mission. That makes the grinding slightly less deterring.
"Do you want to stay or leave?" / "Leave." / "I don't understand." Aw, c'mon. "Leave" is synonymous with "not stay", which finally allowed me to finish the game.
"You can not play Chronicles of Blood without third party cookies." That is: "We'd like to make money by selling your preferences we store without notification, even if you are persistent enough to play this game without paying to us directly." Well, why don't you go hang yourselves.
Dear Kongregate. Please *stop* adding badges to such supposedly fun time management games. Thanks for at least not adding an overwhelmingly tedious hard badge.
For all the people not caring to read through options: You will probably need to crank up your mouse sensitivity to be able to make the 1000. It's there; use it.
When you are short in inventory space, note the extra 5 storage in the Upgrade section. Items just remain there if you exit the screen. I would also like to be able to see the success rate of my refinement of equipment and an EXP progress bar with the HP/AP bars.
For the hard badge, I found the following useful:
Sniping: Practice until you can hit without zooming in twice. It saves critical time
Pistol: Use USP or Socom H&K, keep trying until you get that annoying fast target
Hostile: Just get 100% accuracy and let yourself die
Gun run: Banelli is key here. It counts as a hit for your accuracy if only one of the bullets hits.
Long range: Socom M4. Any successful attempt should pass the first two rounds without reload
In general, practice, practice and make sure your mouse sensitivity is correct.
Also, you will need a pc which is fast enough to maintain the 20fps. Otherwise, you will be too slow.
In the third chapter, when you drop into the water and jump of the cliff onto the lianas, just drop from the longest liana and keep going left. This fall just makes the ridge close to a checkpoint, which allows you to save huge amounts of time (making last time trial a piece of cake)
Thanks for noticing the typo, we'll get that fixed up! :)
