Sorry you had troubles. We don't have adds IN the game, and our scripts are not very intensive, even on older hardware. The animations may be a bit resource consumptive, tho. We are working on a way to dumb them down or stop the most intensive ones. Hope you are able to try again and get it running.
Despite the multiple page tutorial, game play feels arbitrary. Sometimes you can select, sometimes you can't. Doesn't seem like a bad game at all and I hope the developer continues to make more games. This one fall a little short on the intuitive scale but I do look forward to seeing more works.
Not my favorite and the commentary doesn't help. Developer seems prickly and defensive. Opening comments seem overly pointed and designed to dissuade people from playing. It comes off as exclusive and elitist implying that one is only "mature" if one likes the game. Objectionable content has very little context and seems to be present just be somehow edgy. It seems like what Myst would have been if they actively disliked their customer base. Consider that every action of the game and your own commentary will either convince people that they should play your game or it will convince them that they should not. Every player you send packing makes your game weaker and the games you seem to hate stronger.
Forced survival mode is unfortunate. I enjoy playing at my own pace, working across the map. To suddenly have the game decide that its time for me to lose is heartbreaking. An unfortunate blemish on an otherwise great game.
