There are simply too many random collapses. I was on my way to 100 people goal , had 90 people in huts with berries, fish, tools and water and everything seemed fine. Then all of a sudden it all collapsed and population dropped below 50. I don't know why and I can't sit 10 hours and analyze why. Too bad the game had promise
The game selected a language I don't understand and then I guess i deleted my vegetables in my camp and couldn't find any more so couldn't make any fried vegetables and got stuck and bye bye game.
I have considered using only unique encounters in the next episode. Enemies that are used to drive the story further instead of random monsters. That way it dosnt take away from the experience. Thanks for checking out the game :)
Decent game but with a horrible flaw. As you progress, your opponents don't get better but its rather your player that gets worse. A rather poor way of portraying progress in a game.
I am at the end. I have put the crystals in place and put together the wheel red/blue. But I can't place the wheel around the tree. To bad , can't finish and so close to the end.
This is probably the best game I played in my entire life. The variation and challenges are endless. The replay value is very high and it is one of those games that takes one minute to learn but a lifetime to master. (Oh, the Irony!)
I am gonna try and provide some constructive criticism, and sorry about the troll game reference, I actually thought the first mission was impossible.
1. Ease up on the difficulty. There is a difference between difficult and nearly impossible. It's frustrating to start over time and time again.
2. The Inventory is to limited, only three items. People like to collect things in these kind of games. You have to discard useful items all the time.
3. There is no way to increase strength. Strength gives you additional strikes at enemies if I understand correctly, and if you could increase it that would give the player better chance to strike down tougher opponents.
I think the disappointment in the comments reflect the fact that you have an embryo of a decent little adventure game in the making but at it's current state it is unplayable.
I don't think you can get past the first mission. There is no way to leave a mission when you achieved your goal. You will only be bombarded with enemies until you die. As I said, a troll game, where you repeat the first mission until you get fed up.
Just finished floor 65 and now what? Playing for four months I was expecting some kind of cut-scene or something in the end, but nothing. Please finish this, as it stands now the ending is kind of an anti-climax.
I just fought the most ridiculous fight ever. I am level 52 , in Rome fighting contender battles. At the end I was left with a spear throver fighting against a Murmilo (a shield-basher). I thought I had the advantage, beeing able to net my opponent and more or less shut him off completely. Well, I entangled my opponent, threw spears at him and made crowd-appeals when needed. I gave up after I had thrown 100 spears at my opponent and not A SINGLE HIT!. My opponent wasent even blocking my throws. That´s not 50% hit chance ,that´s zero procent and I would like to know that when I start a fight, so I can quit and not waste 30 minutes fighting a guy I can not hit.
I agree with Mikjmurf. I am at level 52. Managed 12 Conteder battles, but now I am stuck. Have tried everything. Speedguns (Dimacherus with speed over 300), Hedgehogs(Murmillo with defence over 300), but nothing works. Maybee three spear throwers with maximum speed throwing nets all the time would do it, but where is the fun in that?. I guess the only option is to level up to 60, but the leveling is so painfully boooooring.
The Thraex class (the axe-wielder) has some problems. I put 15 point in critical boost and still I have not hit a single crit. I guess you can´t combine critical boost with power attack or armor break, but even when I make a regular strike still no crits. Compare this with the shield bash and spear throw that crits every second time (as it seems).
Also the top two abilities are are absolute rubbish. Strike of will feels out of place for a basher. - Hey! I just chopped off your arm and by the way, you lost some mana point as well. Berserk should really be auto-triggered somehow. I stand ready to deal 400-700 points of damage, but no wait!. I go berserk instead. Now I feel strong and clumsy. Oh, my opponents just chopped off my arm. Well, at least I can stand here watching the rest of the fight beeing really pissed.
My suggestions, berserk auto-triggered somehow and maybee some kind of stun-effect instead of strike of will.
