The level 5 cave is seriously easy. You cannot kill the invi gob but he is easily stunned. Use all ranged and 1 fast moving front row card. The castle goes down easy.
Everyone is right in that the skis do better the higher you are. With that in mind go at the lowest angle for speed use a freaky for initial air and use all 3 sodas in a row rather quickly. 7,833 with about 60% power.
