So, after playing this game for twenty minutes, I realized it's kind of...average. Like Flakboy without the strategy. All you have to do is spam everything you can afford as fast as you can afford it, and you have a non-stop "combo". I let the game run itself for an hour and after a combo of 7mil+, it was still going and going and messing up my episode of The Office. Sure, I mean it has its' merits. Who doesn't want to smash turtles with a giant hammer? Bloody turtles. But after a while, it's no longer a game so much as a movie. I give Epic Combo 2.5 smashed turtle shells out of 5.
There have been several games lately that evoke such powerful emotions, and this one is one of the best. The artwork is fantastic and, while the game is fairly simple, it really did a magnificent job of telling a great story. I'm really hoping there might be a sequel to this story. I give this game a five out of five.
