My strategy for the 5th elf assimilation: Don't do too many revolutions. They increase money, not food, and ultimately food is more important. You should only need 1 revolution. For 1st round go tree/well/town hall/shooting range, and do a revolution of masters at ~100K discontent. There's no point doing a revolution of waterboys, cause it will be irrelevant after revolution of masters, and won't make the masters revolution much faster, cause you're limited by food, not money. For 2nd round, go farm/well/town hall/homestead/castle/iron mine. Get 10T farmers, 61.04T waterboys, 10T landlords, 30T masters, do all upgrades <1Dc for homestead & up. Then buy soldiers with ALL food until you assimilate. Standard advice applies: horses in well, all cows to homestead until maxed, focus on food growth, etc. Remember, you are FOOD LIMITED. If you unlock anything higher than throne room, you went way too far, and all that precious progress will be wiped once you assimilate anyway.
Why does this game keep getting slower? With the latest update published today, it's pretty much unplayable.
Why is this game so resource intensive anyway? It just does some simple calculations and provides a point and click interface. It should be possible to run it on a 90's machine. Skyrim runs faster on my computer. WTF?!
