Not always clear which items can be zoomed in on/interacted with, but the cursor does change when you mouse over and nothing is too tiny. Puzzles are good for beginners.
I have no idea what happened, but I caught one fish that, despite being tiny, stretched across the screen and netted me hundreds of thousands of dollars in one blow (after adding in the multiplier.) Serious glitch, there. Sorry I can't tell you what was special about it--it looked like any other fish!
I'm quite irritated by the energy cap--I just want to play the game, not wait to play it! I don't really know what the thinking was there, but it kills the mood for me. Even reading all the text on EVERYTHING, including the fights, didn't put nearly enough time between battles for me, and I had to play a second game to fill in the time gaps. It just didn't work for me.
The rest of the game so far has been great, though!
People have been saying that it's slow, and underpowered--I can't say I see it. The gameplay moves a little slow (I mean that it just takes a while to circle-strafe 'em down, not that it's laggy), but it didn't bother me. I also never seemed to need more gun points. I did notice that I never ran into the "Overburdened" (aka health-pack) guys when I was actually injured, but since I was never under about 75% at the end of any level I guess I can't say that they were misplaced. I did like the way the level system worked in this one (although I too had waaayyyy too many bubble points at the end, that doesn't actually HURT me) and I don't really miss the gradual erosion of enemies, so I was having more fun with this one than the others.
I absolutely love it. I love how the planets are clumped and you have to dodge in and out to get them, I love how you can't see what's coming and have to 'feel' it through minor variations in speed, I love how your planet handles like a massive, momentous object. I'm fascinated by it.
My career level keeps resetting itself. For something that relies so heavily on unlocking (and promotes purchasing levels so obnoxiously) this is a serious bug. It's practically unplayable (which is a shame, because the game itself is fun underneath the adverts.)
%/% I love this game so hard. To the detractors who say bigger field of vision: all the difficulty comes from using speed as an indicator of danger, not the actual sight of an enemy.
The game was a lot of fun...until I hit the "bonus mode". That was just plain irritating. If you HAVE to obscure vision, could you at least make the viewing window a bit bigger?
An interesting game, but there are a few improvements that would be good for a sequel: pause and speed control, and the effects shouldn't block my view of the battlefield.
To get the card movement, just watch: as you remove a pair of cards, cards flow in from the right to fill the gap. The cards at the end of the row are replaced by the leftmost from the row below, and so on.
There's an easy exploit to getting a score of 600--if you don't want to use a certain color, just click on a square that is already that color and it will give you another one. With that, it would be all too easy to get a perfect score just by chipping away from a central point and minding your lines. I would fix that for next time. ;)
