On the first level, I thought it was slow and not very interesting, even with the turbo. The minute I started upgrading, though, this became one of the most brilliantly out-of-control, nausea-inducing, slickly produced, gorgeously envisioned flash racers I've ever seen. Kudos.
It's a nice game. Not the best thing ever, but the basic mechanic is good and the presentation is elegant. I'm wondering whether the subtext encouraging polyamory was intententional, though.
Love the style. Just love it. My only problem is that I often hit the point of having too much information to keep track of, and die needlessly. But that's part of the style, I suppose. 4/5.
It was pretty good, but not as good as Hedgehog Launch. The horizontal space seems very constrained--more horizontal freedom would have been good, as would have been keyboard control. The "hitting things damages you" was a nice touch. So was the "skip fall" button. 3.5/5, erring on the side of a 3.
As mentioned, the controls are a little awkward. And it would be nice if the game had a bit more depth to it. But it's a pretty smooth and polished game. Much better than I usually see off of the "New Games" page. 3/5. Keep it up.
The gameplay isn't very interesting. I'd prefer if your torpedos and the fish affected/were affected by the world, instead of just traveling however suits them. And a slightly less straightforward, linear style might be nice. It also moves kind of slowly--the diving sphere isn't very responsive, which makes it feel like the game is lagging behind me.
It's a good effort--there's clearly a lot of work that went into this, and it's a much more cohesive offering than a lot of obscure Kong games. But it needs some significant redesign work. 2/5 in its current state. I'll rejudge if you revise it.
You have an appealing visual style, but the actual gameplay isn't very interesting. More variety, or even more obvious difficulty escalation, would be good. Still, this shows a lot of imagination, and that goes a long way. 2/5, but I hope to see more from you.
I like the old-school aesthetic of the game. The design is attractive, and that part of it is unquestionably well done. Also, well done on making the controls be extremely responsive--I prefer controls be a little too responsive than not responsive enough. What bothers me is the one-hit-kill-ness of it, and that's probably more because I'm not hardc0re than because it's an actual problem. I give it a 3.5/5, posted as a 4. It's a 4 in what it is--a good old-school game for those who want a pure point-racking challenge. It loses the half-point for lacking general appeal.
Nice visual design, but it needs a slightly faster cash growth curve and a bit more actual gameplay. Still, one of the best toss/launch games I've seen in a long time. I appreciate the fact that there are slows, not no autodeath. 4/5.
