The enhanced summoning skill for mages in the necromancy tree seems to do nothing. I summoned a spirit and a demon after getting the skill and they don't do any extra damage, don't have any extra health, and don't have any extra stamina. Bug?
The new dodge rate is way too low. I have more agi then my opponent and they still dodge more than I do. Also, poison needs a big nerf. It's ridiculous that it can't be dodged (in the case of poison pollen) and that it does damage that scales with the opponent's hp. At the very least make it expensive, like 4 or 5 energy, since one attack can easily deal 25% of your hp in damage.
Start off with a 1:2 strength:desterity build (Don't worry, you can respec later). Do not buy anything other than armor. By the time you get to the NPC who lets you respec, your armor should probably be around 50. When you hit 60 to 70 armor, it's safe to switch to a 2:1 strength:desterity build. Never go for a full dexterity build as you'll take forever to kill anything. A 1:2 or 2:1 strength:dexterity build maximize both defense and killing power.
What you have to do to take down helicopters is utter crap. 9 times out of 10, the helicopter is obviously in front of the road sign, but the copter will just pass through it. The only way to guaruntee that the sign hits the chopper is to get along the wall with the sign as quickly as possible and to just drive straight into the chopper's bullets. This is crap, and the hit detection needs a major overhaul.
It's an OK game. Kind of fun, but it has a lot of flaws. The main problem is that the game is too chaotic. Anyone who's played Geometry Wars should remember that that GW was controlled chaos. GW was very hectic, and enemies were everywhere, but there was still a certain structure to it. Enemies wouldn't just randomly spawn in front of you in GW. This game would be much better if it implemented a wave system instead of constantly throwing enemies at you.
I forgot to add this bit:
Having unintuitive or difficult to use controls is a very poor way of making a game hard. If I do badly at this game, I want it to be because I have horrible timing, or I'm too slow, not because I can't remember which key to press.
Well, I'm sorry to all you "I'm super awesome because I perfected everything and anyone who has trouble with this game is a stupid n00b," but this game is too difficult. Firstly the arrows are unintuitive. The way the arrows are arranged on screen doesn't match the keyboard, so there's (for me) a delay where I have to recognize the arrow. At least in guitar hero, what you see on screen matches your controller. The game would be way better if I could customize my controls, or if you at least offered a control options that replaced the arrow keys with keys that are organized in a line.
Great game. It really reminds of Edmund McMillen's stuff art style (in a good way). In the beginning, it's really hard and annoying, but once you get used to the speed, it's quite fun.
Spamming swordsmen is useless late game. Try doing that against King's Guard (Alliance unique unit), Whirlers (Night Elves super unit), and Spearmasters (Demon super units). You'll be destroyed.
Demolishers (the arab race's elite range unit) are absolutely amazing. Get 10 and nothing will be able to survive. Of course, if you get caught in the blast radius, you'll probably die just as quickly as the enemy.
I literally JUST found the cause of this bug. Will be fixed in next update :)
