its... an okay game.
But to be fair its par for the course of the games of its type, aka the zenga facebook energy game. Give it any other skin and its basically the same thing all throughout. Fantasy/PostIndustrial/HostileBusinssTakeover.
The only game of similar type that does it better in anyway is Echo Bazaar..
The little bit of graphis Flavor text would have made this one so much better.
I think its great, But a not to developers.
If at all possible, make a tab that you can mark items as "Junk" with.
when you play consistently you end up stacking many many items.
sometime we don't want to sell them out right. so having items mark-able and having a tab for junk would be really helpful in that way.
I don't give it a very high rating.
of many forms of monitzation there are, did it really need to be designed around the Toxic Zanga style?
This is Kong, Not facebook;
and its already a bad sign when the game is forcing you to wait to play it.
The game falls apart because of the "energy system" its basically copied from every other game of its type. and if I we're to be perfectly frank, it really really lazy of the developers. Energy systems are just another shortcut to pad out content; remove the energy system, and you end up with what is basically a 20 minute game. Honestly, this looked like it could have been so much better, then getting into it was a massive let down.
Are you every going to address The Balancing Issue?
Its a bit unfair that theres no system in place to Match ourselves with player of a similar skillset or even Level.
90% of the games I have ended up in are people who are Abusing the overpowerdness of the shotgun (Aka the map long head shot), or some other pay weps that deal double if not more the damage then any of mine.
In the Very least you could add Playlists modes; like
"No Golden Weps" "Particualr Wep only" or "Side Arms only"
I understand you want to cater to your paying members, but really..
You can't treat the nonpay players like crap, that's bad business, especially when it comes to a Multilayer game where players are its content.
Now, I have no problem with a company making money from a game they worked on... but.. really?
The Same old Combat Arms Method of Selling it??
This system relies primarily on whale buyers, and you sill make the experience very poor for anyone who can't/is unwilling to throw money at the game. its so easy to throw 20$s into kong points and then make yourself Overly powerful and kills the experience for anyone else.
Im gonna be honest, you can get a greater experience by simply buying a Larger AAA Title for a console. or likewise just buying CS:GO and similar games.
The idea that you can be good at a game if you have money should be put in the trash, and so many companies have already done that and have done way better.
My personal thoughts
-To the Player
if your going to judge a game based purely on its method of making money. You are really not going to like the future of gaming. We are quickly pushing into a Free2Play and PayAsYouGo models of gaming; this is generally not somthing we cannot escape as; MAKING GAMES COST TIME/MONEY. If your not willing to pay, OR in the very least be polite. You may wish to consider liking another entertainment medium.
-To the Devs
I loved the game,
It takes a very VERY nice spin on, what many game aficionados would consider outdated methods of play. Sure there moble games like Temple Run; but that game dosent offer the sort of depth and complexity of Skill Based Platforming. Temple Run would be better described as Rythem Skill much more akin to Guitar Hero.
Again, I would describe the game a Crash Bandicoot-Esqu; and I love it all the same. :D
From a designe standpoint, this game is absolute wonders.
It takes me back to my youth playing good linear skill platformers. Its feels fast and cleaver. Discovering the first SECREST of the levels is pretty phreaking awesome; The Game awards you for being quick to notice AND quick to act.
Now I understand how people can berate the game for being a money grab. this sometimes pisses me off as well; but for the game, not the case. Sure the game asks you to throw money at it, The Devs need to live too, and making GOOD games is not cheap and takes time. I do NOT find it unreasonable that they try to earn a little money for their labor of love. AND in their favor they only charge money for simple non-game changing things, and even then you can still unlock anything simply by playing. (Unlike that other real money grab shooter around here *cough*)
Like the game, BUT.
perhaps, the thing I absolutly hate.
You can Throw money at the game... To Essentially push buttons to win.
Ya see, the Gold Weps, they don't suffer any use Decay. While standard weps do. you could be playing in a long match of team Elimination, or perhaps a few of them. Players to dished out their money/time to have access to a neat gun; but not just any gun, a gun that never EVER needs repairing and thus, does not deal less and less damage as the match goes on. This means for us free users, who have only the basic guns that break over time will get absolutely crapped on as our guns get used up while trying to enjoy a game. While these gold gun users never ever need to care while they 1shot us across the map with a rapid fire shotgun.
This WOULD be balanced if we could in any way ACCESS these said golden guns for ourselves.
That's a cool idea.
