I think I found how the offline mode is working/not working. If one opens the game and then, while the page is still loading, he switch to another tab so to mantain the game out of focus, the game WON'T update with the would be offline cash earned. Instead if you open the game and wait for the tab to load properly, in a few seconds the correct income will be calculated. I'm on Chrome v36 on Mac.
@hyperhippo - I've tried to clear the cache data "from the beginning of time" but with no luck.
As I told you in a PM, I think the bug reside, somehow, in the save system.
Try to import the save I attach below, I think you won't find the AI upgrade either after that!

@sammorrow (although my current version in the info tab says 1.3.1, i do not see the "rapture contingent" upgrade. i did a soft reset and it didn't appear. i then exported the data to be safe, and did a hard reset. the upgrade was then able to show up.) - I tried it too and you're right, by hard resetting you get the upgrade. The problem is that when you import your save... they disappear!
As someone else, I can't see any new AI upgrade. I see A mutiny, rebellion, selection and divine intervention (which is still a x11).
I've already hit refresh, cleared the cache and also done a soft reset, but no luck.
Regarding the bug I've just written about, I found out that if you keep the game CLOSED you will obtain a much higher income of Angel Investors. Probably there's a bug in the "live" update of the Angel Investors income, while the correct one is the one that is rolling during the "offline" calculation
Possible BUG:
there's a miscalculation either in the Angel Investors or in the total cash - I have 1000+ lemonade producing 2.2 non/cycle and 740 oil producing 1.3/cycle. Thus, I expect my lemonade to produce something like 270 dec/minute and 9.9 dec/minute as far as Oil is concerned. This seems to be true, but the Angel Investors seems to behave differently. In fact, I see them progress relatively slowly (something like 0.4 billion every 8 seconds) and then, when the oil cycle completes, they rocket to a +2 bllions. This is however inconsistent with the cash/minute!

There's a bug (or maybe a new feature?)in the update 1.2.
If one doesn't have the manager for a building, the count-down to completion won't move if the game is not open in the browser (e.g. if the timer of oil company is at 9h:31min, it will remain so if the game is closed, while if you have the manager it will go down). I found this after buying every manager but the oil company one, so I'm not sure the bug works for every type of building.

Try clearing you cache now - (a big clear: all time!) your game should update properly now.
