I eventually got the Exquisite Cutting kit, so yes, everyone save your gems until you get that. You need to be an Expert, and to reach DemiCraft Alliance Rank 60+. I think I'm going to stop with this game though. Dropped my rating to a 2 because of inconsistent effect chances, very limited documentation, and an incomplete story.
The effect chances only apply to physical moves, like attack or the strikes moves, and this game is still under active development, so I hope I can change your rating back to 5 with the new update!
Do the chances for Burn, Frozen, Poison from Elemental Weave armor apply to spells that are cast by the character? It looks like they only apply to the Attack option. If so, that makes that gear pretty useless.
Is there an Advanced Gem Cutting Kit? If so, how do I get it? I have been able to make some Cut Topaz, but I also have one Fine Cut Topaz and I don't want to waste my raw topaz making sub-optimal gems.
Fun game, but I was disappointed with the ending. It's just - okay, you're done! I prefer a bit more story. It'd be neat to continue into infinite levels perhaps.
I thoroughly enjoyed this latest version of the series. Definitely better than the previous two. The best tip I can give is to save your prestige and piety points for the bonuses that give you two extra months. The gear you get from dungeons is good enough to complete everything that you might encounter, and selling the gear will finance your training and village reconstruction. Time to replay this game with another build!
One other note - I got stuck in two evil temples because no monsters were spawning to drop keys. Closing the browser and restarting the game fixed the problem.
I'm really liking this game. One minor problem I have though, is that in my party of Fighter, Cleric, Wizard, Archer, my cleric is now one full level behind the others (20 vs 21) because of how XP is awarded when opening doors or chests, and disarming traps. It would be a better design if the entire party was awarded XP for overcoming that obstacle - even if the XP awarded is reduced.
I only just realized that you can't see buttons from the side. You need to look directly at the section of the wall in order to see it. That would have been good to know.
