The game is very good but unfortunately each time I start it, it clears the previous level progress. Does it happen to anyone else? (Im using the newest version of Firefox)
Thank you for the feedback. I Have the little guide I put on the Dwindle site but I think you want more. Do you think a puzzle mode with progressive puzzles that feed lessons to the player would be enough? Do you think a more classic tutorial that walks users through each option and how to play the game would be necessary?
How to beat every "defense" level:
1) dont fight the initial wave, just build a generator and a force field (if available). the initial wave is made of fighters and do little damage
2) as those harmless fighters keep shooting you build a number of generators and wait increasing your energy
3) only when you have a lot of energy build a lot of starports, turrets, etc
4) now you have enough enough resources to obliterate them all!
This game is easier if you follow these tips:
Put peasants/knights in the first column protecting archers, mages, bombers in the rear
Also always put peasants/knights at the botton of a column and archers over it. It will protect archers taking most of the damage.
Have at least one unit of each type to use all special abilities
When monks are available, put lots of them. They add 10% to the total attack. Putting a monk can be far more cost/effective than any other unit.
The effect of the special ability depends on the number of units. Therefore makes sense use special ability of peasants/knights and archers first since as they are in the front, is unlikely that they survive until the end.
It is very easy to defeat the monsters if you have lots of monks. Their special ability is a shield and it lasts longer depending on the number of monks. With enough monks your shield last long enough to defeat the monster totally unharmed!
Hi Marretoman,
Thanks for letting me know - I really want to track this bug down as quite a few people have had it. I've put a thing in the game specifically to help me catch this - but I need your help. Please would you load up the game, then go to controls and settings and click on Export Internal Logs. This will create a text file which stores game-state snapshots which are captured each time you press escape to go to the pause menu (which I assume you did after getting stuck).
Can you post this somewhere I can get at it - or email it to me please? dac70@cam.ac.uk
Many thanks,
D
