"We watched over the walls as the squad killed Zed around the fort. I saw one of them kill two zombies with a Katana. A sword. That's how crazy the Riffs are." - Zombies killed 1... Somebody is lying lol 5/5
The lag is most definitely an issue. Although, at least for me, the solution is to just refresh the page whenever it happens and it will run smoothly for about half an hour. It wasn't a huge deal so i was going to give this decent game 3 stars(would be 4 if I didn't have to refresh every 30 minutes). Then I saw the dev's response to the criticism in the top comments and that rating quickly fell to 1 star.
If the dev reads this, we are telling you there is a problem. Just because it works on your pc it doesn't mean that it doesn't on other pcs.
Good guy Viking commander: Hey frost freaks can you guys stop attacking us for a few seconds please? I want my troops to do a special attack.
Ice troops captain: Well since you asked so nicely MEN! Stand back and let those guys with the spears skewer a few of us before we continue the assault.
Ice troops: but cap'n shouldn't we take advantage of this and attack? We are the villains after all.
Ice troops captain: I SAID STAND BACK!
I noticed this pretty quickly so I suppose others will notice this right away but jes in case i'll share it this tip. clicking on the tile you want to go to is a LOT more reliable than using the arrows/wasd. When using them you are liable to accidentally run into enemies you wouldn't have wanted to fight. When you click on a tile tho your dude will run to the tile avoiding all enemies if possible. Oh yeah and have fun!
Took me halfway through the game before I realized that all the stuff that restores your hp and stamina and all of that aren't actually 1 time use consumables like in most games ;^;. I even thought that the dry ice and the blue pills only lasted throughout the fight until I started using them. WOW that made a difference XD. Aside from that 5/5
Q.Q I was having so much until the one shot kill necromagus people came out of nowhere and put me all the way back to the beginning of the level. There easy enough to kill but if you don't see them underneath a mob of monsters it's pretty disheartening when you hit them with your sword then the magus touches you and you die ;^;
Fantastic game but there are a couple bugs/glitches. 1st is sometimes when you enter a dungeon it makes it to where every time you preform a turn the game forces you to make a turn. Im not sure if that's really a glitch or if it's part of some powerful ability by an unseen enemy but if it is a glitch and you didn't know about it yet, now you do :). the 2nd is completely game breaking however. It seemed to occur by merely refreshing while the game was paused. Whenever I get back on and click anywhere in the game(even when hitting resume) the pause screen comes on and doesn't go away, making play impossible.
When using an ability that changes terrain, it should ask you if you are sure if the ability would destroy a building. It's pretty depressing when you mean to change a tile so you can upgrade a nexus and then accidentally erase the nexus with a forest square
A really powerful combination that I found is to use a bow(in my case a Leaf Bow) with the effect to restore your hp for each tile between you and your enemy and a frozen stone(an amulet that shoots 10 frozen spikes for 5 sp whenever you land a critical hit). What this does is whenever you land a critical hit you shoot the spikes automatically and the healing effect kicks in EACH time you hit an enemy, this includes abilities, and the spikes from Frozen Stone. Then add on the best combination of bonuses that u can to support that. The knockback is good for this and so is extra crit damage because you're going to want to eventually reset your stat points to where u have nothing but agility and vitality(about 4 points of agility to every 1 point of vitality). Last but not least, the class that I find most effective for this is the Gladiator, where the best starting character if u want to try this strategy right away, is the Stein. Hope this helps :) and a 5/5 from me
Q.Q I was in perfect line to get through the last line of fire from a boss with 1 hp left then I thought the gems he spat out for dying were bullets. Time to go to sleep XD
What I imagine the pilots of the helicopters are thinking "I can position myself anywhere on this screen that I want to. I am an ai so my accuracy is the same no matter where I am... I think i'll position myself in front of the enemies giant, shiny cannon. But I got to wait until after it swats me out of the air until I can fire."
I really like how in this 2nd installment, the game doesn't pressure you to get so much fame within a certain time span. You can relax and go at your own pace, unlike in the first one, where that greedy king wanted so much crap from you :P
