Game has not been updated much since the release on kong. It's also still not available on steam. Looks like a "dead" game with the creator moving on to other titles. For this reason I'm giving a 1 star rating. 1.5 for potential and 3-4 if improvements were made.
Just a thought here but it appears to not count every hit individually. For example, if you hit an enemy with 2 bullets at the same time it takes away the damage equivalent of 1 bullet. Each bullet is already tracked individually so if you fixed the bullet hit ratio I think that would fix a lot of your balancing issues! 3/5 but with the fix 5/5! Props!
First of all, thanks for playing.
This actually comes from a problem with how stencyl handles collisions. The bullets can only be destroyed 0.01 seconds after they've hit the enemies (and the player ship), otherwise the collision might not register. This means that both the enemies and the player need a small amount of invulnerabilty after being hit, otherwise each bullet will hit them multiple times. I've done all that I could to minimize this effect, including giving multiple collision boxes to certain enemies.
With what I've been learning while working on my second game I should be able to improve on this for the sequel that I'll make after I've done some of my other game ideas.
Extremely buggy. Upgrades are wonky (still haven't exactly figured out what exactly is going on there) and settings button in-game has some sort of broken link where it takes you back to the main screen and turns sounds back on
great game! Like the concept and button interaction! buy sell rate is a little screwy though as you can accumulate insane amounts of money. Also would like to see some sort of ending cinematic, it's odd to beat the game and have all the achievements and still be playing. And trevbom, I love that joke but please keep it off the game comments page.
Fun game. I liked the use of aliens instead of zombies. Don't get me wrong, I love me some dead zombie flesh, but aliens need to be appreciated more. I didn't think it was too hard at all and there were multiple ways to spend points to win the game. Not just one like Malkar suggested. Great Job!
I know it's a first attempt and all but really bad game with zero plot. For a good game you need dozens of interacting elements. Not just one. I can't even say if your concept is good or not because there is no evident concept when playing. I encourage you to continue working on this and develope it more.
Thank you for your feedback! :)
