Heres an idea, when a pokeball absorbs an item when the item is released the item still retains its properties.

"Those apply properties that are the same for all items, not functionalities that have been specifically made for one item. Totally different."-0Rava Yes that is what i meant so if a normal sword with the "Absorb" trigger has touched a taser for example it would absorb the shock effect and leave the taser with nothing, howver if a taser with the absorb trigger had touched a normal sword it wouldnt absorb anything and the taser would still have the shock effect.

It's just not really possible to make it work well enough. I already said that wouldn't really work for a lot of the functionalities, because they're specifically made for the original item. In the taser scenario the sword would end up shooting projectiles leftwards out of its hilt, because that's where the shooting position is on the Taser.

In response to 0Rava's response to my idea of a "Absorb" trigger, couldn't it work like the "alchemy sword" or the "lab drone"

There should be a new collision/ trigger that allows the desired object to "absorb" another objects ability, so for example if you put the "absorb" ability on a normal sword and made it touch a sword such as "shock sword" it would remove the ability and transfer it to the normal sword.

Developer response from 0rava

A lot of trigger functionalities wouldn't really work on other items at all. For example Shock Sword only shocks when the blue parts specifically hit something, and the item format doesn't have things like "this is a blade" vs "this is a handle" baked in, so there's no way of reliably transferring the functionality to other items that don't have those blue parts.

You should add in another property similar to the shield drone, where if applied to an item such as a sword the ragdoll is holding, the sword will move to protect the ragdoll. This property could also be added to the ragdoll to move its arms or legs to protect it from bullets.
