I wanted the Connoisseur Badge gem, so I wrote a short guide on how I did it (game kinda sux btw)
Early game: Focus on 1 Fuel; 2 Drill strength; 3 Hull strength ( get lv 3 turning+lv 2 radar early on)
The key to this game is the mole upgrade, get a level one mole before you max your fuel & other things and make use of it while drilling sideways
You should be able to max all your upgrades with ~7 turns left
End Game Strat, Lv4 Mole essential!
Go to the bottom of the 2nd tier of dirt where you can see large diamonds spawning; make sure to save at least 3 of your nitros for boosting sideways. Travel along the ground and use the mole to grab all the diamonds you can. Since you are on an easier tier of dirt you should move faster but be able to see enough diamonds to complete the challenge & grab them all with your mole. The mole collects any diamond he passes through, so try and click a little bit past the diamond to make sure he runs through it.
