You need to seriously work on memory optimization, running your game shouldn't take more resources than running Minecraft on max settings while also recording and streaming.
Excellent! I like that you can actually earn crystals in game, most games that include micro-transactions just shove a handful of them in your face at the beginning and then never let you earn them ever again. Very good model.
The gameplay is fun, my favorite style of game was always the bullet hell. It's not terribly difficult, so long as you upgrade in small steps. A lot of people are complaining about how expensive the shop is, but it scales with what you have. if you grind until you buysomething very powerful, everything in the shop will be at least that strong. You are much better off using the lower level crafting for new gear, since you'll get enough crystals after ten levels.
If you are having trouble, use the free respec and try a different approach.
Fantastic! I really enjoyed ToH, and this scratched that same itch. As always, challenging levels and fantastic music tracks ensure a good time. The alternate end level was worth tracking down those secrets. You guys make a solid team, five stars.
also, are the shades supposed to be like Dirk's from Homestuck? :D
Love the game... only thing I would think about adding a hotkey or two? if I want to use a certain magic or potion I could hit '1' or '2'
Other than that... fantastic job!
Alright, so far the only addition that I would like to see is a hotkey to snap to the farthest reaches of your map. At the (ludicrous) size of my land, even with shift scrolling is takes most of a minute to get from one side to the other, and there is not very much to do in the civilized middle area. I realize that most people probably won't expand as much as I have... but I think it would be a helpful and easy feature to implement.
for a ludum dare, this is pretty awesome! It's refreshing to take a back seat every now and then in a game, and not directly affect enemies or in game entities. I 'm sure a more polished version of this, with a bit more content like levels and challenges would become popular :)
Very awesome game! What did you use to make it?
My first playthrough, i saw the 'bloodless' badge, was spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out a way to collect the pieces of the relic without defeating any of the creatures, and figured I'd have to go the whole game without a shield and stuff.
I like it. If you ever do implement an upgrade shop, there's always the question of whether money is automatically awarded, or if it's something you need to pick up. maybe you can collect the paint as a resource when you wash? Ooo... then different colors could power up different abilities or weapons Colourp0d style... maybe I'm over thinking this...
Fantastic game, fulfills that dungeon crawling itch very nicely. The only thing I think would make the game much better would be to have space act as an open/close inventory button, or act as a cancel button for spells.
Also a potential bug: when I reach the lower right of the map my character, any monsters, and dropped equipment will disappear, and the floor will continue to scroll while the walls stay where they are. I'll try to get a screenshot the next time it happens.
Definitely have a good game forming here. If you like some criticism; maybe make the place look a bit more airport-y, it looks like people are going to visit a mine or something. Also, the lives and other stats and data don;t have to be so small up at the top. And maybe add a pause button, or 'P' for pause/ 'M' for mute.
